The preorders on this are scary high atm. Since Reach is passing over, CODBO preorders are compounding daily. Our goal early on was to try to match MW2, then to match it once momentum started to pick up a few months ago. Now we are expecting to exceed MW2, and by and 15-20%.

GS alone had just under 2million preoders on MW2, we are on pace to hit 2.25m+ Everyone just sees this as the way MW2 SHOULD have been, so excitement is high.

Good thing I pre-ordered mine in like june when I bought SFIV. Tekki, since I preordered mine in NJ, can I expect to be able to pick it up here in FL on release day, or will they be short?

The nature of the preorder program GS has in play has compounded to the point where we went to preorder because of sellouts to now allocations are based on preorders, and we never sell out. You'll always get a copy through GS if you want it.

Preorders are per store. What you need to do is get a hold of a manager at your FL location to call your NJ location. What they can do over the phone is cancel the preorder in NJ, ring out the credit onto a gift card, and then the NJ manager can read the FL manager the gift card number so the credit can be used to post on you new reserve. Complicated, but a competent manager can sort you out.

Oh that's weird... because when I ordered it in NJ I was hesitant to preorder it because I would be in FL at the time of release but he said all I would need is the receipt and I'd be fine.

Just rereserve it in FL and call the NJ one and cancel it. Or if you don't care about 5$ leave it there and when you come back to the worst state ever he can transfer it to a different game.

Leroy covered this in the MW thread, but I'll repeat it here. Sleight of Hand Pro's faster ADS benefit will NOT affect sniper rifles.

SoHP was fun but it took away some of the skill in quick scoping. It was definitely "necessary" in MW2 due to the dmg of weapons, but considering increased recoil on automatic weapons and lack of Stopping Power in Black Ops, I feel it will all pan out. Hardened, here we go!

It's pretty moot to form strategy on a game that isn't even released, but I figure some valuable discussion could come out of this.

I've been theorizing as to what the most advantageous set-up would be as an aggressive sniper.

Killstreaks:
-UAV (3)
-Counter UAV (4)
-Blackbird (8 )

L96A1
Revolver
Semtex
Stun Grenade
-Ghost
-Hardened
-Ninja

Pretty self-explanatory; stealth mixed with the brutality of a sniper.

Here's another option I've been considering, that may prove more valuable than the latter for one specific combination: Hardline + Counter UAV.

Killstreaks:
-UAV (2)
-Counter UAV (3)
-Blackbird (7)

L96A1
Revolver
Semtex
Stun Grenade
-Hardline
-Hardened
-Marathon

Getting 3 kills is no issue at all for anyone with even average skill. With counter UAV up, the greatest advantage of Ghost is lost (albeit for 30s), but that 30s is easily enough time for another 2-4 kills for the Blackbird killstreak. I'll definitely have both classes to choose from but at the moment, the Hardline + Counter UAV combo seems like the king. As always, shit is situational.

Yeah that's similar to what I was thinking. I'll most likely be using Ghost full time considering it offers more than just UAV protection. My main thing is Marathon vs. Ninja. On one side, in large scale game types most people pay little attention to foot steps, and having no fall damage is crucial in making a quick escape from sticky situations, while Ninja you'll be able to sneak through cameras and the like. And depending on attachments I might try out Warlord over hardened.
