stephano's jobs are shit, that's why an ls doesn't want him. if he had spent that 10 mil on brd/whm/cor/blm/rdm and gotten some decent r/ex most everyone will take him if he has good play times.

no one wants a person who only has pld/sam only unless one of the jobs has a relic or has very good gear. even then most linkshells require at least one mage job. it's tough to go sam or pld only just because everyone has those jobs and everyone wants to go on them. when you join an ls you go to the back of the line and are forced to be a back line job about 90% of the time.

Do you believe this way of thinking is applicable to every person playing this game? Because i dont want to shatter your NQ mentality but i can think of a few people that had BRD, BLM and RDM available but were asked PLD and/or SAM since day 1 to the end of their "career" and it wasnt in some noname LSs.

If Stephano sucks thats one thing, applying this to the game in general is plain retarded.

sorry but if your linkshell doesn't require applicants of lesser quality DDs i.e. non relic/phenomenal to have a mage job simply because every person that has been in the shell longer has a designated role in the group then it is quite literally not a very good or 'no name' linkshell.

the fact is that linkshells with a name have players with their chosen roll already. now, that's not to say an applicant will always be on a mage job. the reason good, or, linkshells that are worth a shit want players with a mage job is merely because sometimes roles will be reversed. you can't have an all melee dd player like stephano join an HNMLS worth a shit and expect to go pld or sam to every event simply because, once again, there are players with their designated role already in place.

tl;dr it is not retarded to over-generalize the population of HNMs and high end linkshells to require a mage job. why? it's true. any HNM or merc/end game linkshell worth a shit will require a dd to have a support job. am i saying that stephano cannot get into any HNM or end game linkshell? no. am i saying he won't get into one worth a shit? yes. am i saying people with no mage jobs can't get into good HNM or end game shells? no. having good gear is an exception to this rule, or if you're friends with someone in the shell. 90% of the reason i got into armada as drk only is because of eanae. 10% my playtime i'd assume.

i'd like to add sath joined excellence mainly as war-only but he still goes rdm to a ton of events(afaicantell). this is just an example of a good player joining a good shell with roles of melee DD already fulfilled. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, sath, but i'm sure there's times you want to go war when you're forced to go rdm. as well i'm sure there's times you may want to go rdm but you play war instead.

When your born just plain retarded, it can be very difficult to make money, cause like.. Beastmen Seals ... thos are just Inv-1 same with Kindred Seals!, and Imperial Standing is just to go to merit parties to make shit parses, and go to Nyzul for salvage.

No one should be a single-job player, having multiple jobs that are geared opens up more end game opportunity for you, if anyone is going through the mentality that "mage jobs suck all you do is stand on the side-lines and watch" then they should go unlock SMN, get Shiva and Ramuh and put their flag up, I bet they'd hit 75 in 3days, that's about as long as it took me to get to 73, only reason why its not 75 is because I started leeching rather using AF :D
