yea dropping calls over networks does blow terribly..
if you live in a roaming they'll eventually cut your service without any termination cost to you.
and no you're not limited to any amount of data roaming![]()

So I can just expect to randomly lose my contract because of were my house is? lol
lol not randomly but they will send you a letter in the mail. if you have high speed internet they can give you an airrave for no monthly charge and you plug it into your router and it acts as a personal cellular tower. A really nice feature.
But yea if you receive this letter in the mail about roaming too much then yes, you can expect your services to be terminated, but they'll give you some options, like switching to lolnextel, an airrave, or they'll just tell you to relocate your house if you wanna keep your service lol.
but back on the topic of which is better iphone or Evo?
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/specialevent0410/
with iPhone OS 4.0 there wont be anything that droid will be superior in, and I definitely wont need a reason to jailbreak anymore. cannot wait
Another thing about this phone, ATK is 100% essential as far as I'm concerned. There is so much sprint bloatware on the Evo, and there doesn't seem to be a decent rooting option that leaves everything intact or working properly so far.
Any nagging concerns about battery life can basically be answered here - http://androidforums.com/tips-tricks...remaining.html
maybe its just cuz where im located at and my govt discount but my rates and coverage seems to be really good =/
i dont get all the rage about ATT
I don't know how different the iphone is from the itouch, but I absolutely hated the itouch OS, and how it interfaced with itunes. I'm pretty sure the OS are basically the same, except that the itouch has no phone, 3g, etc, whatever. Definitely looking forward to trying something new out.
And that was my experience with AT&T back before I switched to Sprint around 4 years ago. I couldn't even get And I get a military discount applied to Sprint as well (since every major carrier in the US is going to offer mil/gov/etc discounts), so that's kind of a moot point.
It's AT&T.
I got to look at the EVO today. It was sluggish even after running task killer. Incredible was much snappier after running the same thing.
I honestly never had any problems with At&t.
and I've driven coast to coast multiple times.
What happens is a few people mostly bloggers have a few issues they blog about it and it takes a life of its own.
Sorta like the Xbox and RROD.
I'm with you. I never get dropped calls, always have a signal even when others don't. I've driven coast to coast and always had coverage.
I'm not using 3g though, so i'm not sure if that makes a difference. I still have the original iPhone. My gf with her 3gs says she gets dropped calls in the house, but i've never had any sort of problems like she is having.
build quality blows on the 3g iphones sucks so bad, i've never wanted to 'upgrade'. Plastic <No Thanks>
I never ever drop calls on AT&T, and I'm in a fairly rural area. Now, I don't get any 3G coverage 5 miles outside of town, but the calls never drop. The only time I had drop call problems was when I owned a blackberry curve. I went through about 4 of those fucking phones in a 2 month span. All four had issues dropping calls. Finally made them send me an 8820, and I haven't dropped a call since. No drops on my iPhone, ever. Only problems I've ever had out of my iphone is sometimes the ear speaker won't function and I ahve to reset it. It only started doing that (albeit rarely) after I jailbroke it.
New York seems to be the worst for dropped calls from what I've read. Donno if anyone lives there however and has AT&T on these forums.
http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/new...dropped-calls/I laughed at this. I haven’t been able to make or receive a single call in the last couple of months that hasn’t dropped. A friend of mine lives downtown, I live uptown, we each have 3Gs, we basically can’t get though a phone call without it dropping every 15-20 seconds. It’s a running joke. I would say that effectively there is NO IPHONE service in Manhattan.
My friends in Austin on At&t don't drop calls a lot, but it does happen. More annoying is the fact that if they're inside just about any building, their signals goes to crap. I know at my place especially, if anyone on At&t gets a call, they're going out to the balcony.
