lol yep. This isn't like a "new" revelation for me or anything. For years I have been telling my guy friends to "just be gay" rather than dealing with the hoops chicks make you go through. I'm not dead serious but I do think some women make guys have to go too far to get them. this thread is just another example of that. XD

Call me cynical and misogynist, but every time a woman speaks about ambition, the only thing I can think is that she equates ambition (and probable future success) with dollar signs. Either that, or she's some shallow bitch that just wants to be able to brag about what her man does. As if society's definition of "success" means a fucking thing anyway. If she thinks someone is interesting because they like to learn about science, mathematics, and whatever, then that's cool. But specifically citing a high level of ambition is a red flag to me.

Well I think ambition is something that girls look for in a guy because it shows motivation and passion. It means that your guy won't sit on his ass all day doing absolutely shit all. It of course can mean more negative things but I think it is pretty easy to see when a women is just seeing dollar signs.

Well they're clearly sizing someone up for a relationship, I mean... it's a dating site. It's just that sometimes some women seem to focus on that aspect too much. Maybe it's just the almost 30 year old guy that only makes 40k a year doing something he loves part of me talking though. Or the part that would prefer to be with a chick that is attractive and fun to be around rather than one who just has a trust fund and a degree.

This thread has inspired me to try out my hand at online dating as well. I'll give OKcupid a shot although I'm not really expecting anything.
