Higher chance of defects between family members having a child is iffy. If both parents have genes that are dominate that will create defects and such, then yes there is higher risk. If there are no such genes or they're not really dominate, then there's a much lower chance.

Yeah, despite what people say there really aren't any big defects until the 3rd-4th generation of inbreeding. Sure, if there's a history of gene disorder in a particular family then they're more likely to see defects earlier than that, but children of incest rarely, if at all, come out as deformed creatures.
