Windower Macros Access Denied.
I recently installed FFXI onto my new Windows 7 laptop with minor issues, but nothing I couldn't overcome. Installed windower just fine np. Now when I attempt to update my macros I.E. Put Joyeuse into my CORmelee script folder it asks me to save as instead of just updating. So i'm think well i'll just overwrite it. Well seems that doesn't fly. Every time I attempt it gives me an Access Denied not which is quite frustrating. There is no run as administrator prompt when I right-click so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Safe to say it's quite annoying when I have plans for my macros, but can't go through. Assistance would be much appreciated.

are you doing this while in game? Might be that windows thinks that file is being used at the time and will not let you update.

Try to run Notepad directly as admin, and open the file from here... I got that shit once with a random file and it worked this way.

not sure if this will work. But it's worth a shot.
Make sure simple file sharing is off. Folder options -> view -> uncheck use simple file sharing. This is perhaps a professional only thing (i still use windows xp because i've never been fond of updating microsoft operating systems).
Right click scripts folder -> Sharing and Security -> Security tab -> advanced button -> Owner tab. Select your username, check the "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" check box and hit ok. May or may not fix your problem. I'm sorry if not.

Word. I ran Notepad as administrator. That seemed to work well. Thanks for the assistance.
