    Shaving question.

Ok so basically, whenever I shave my legs, I always manage to cut myself. I talked to a couple people about this and they said it might have something to do with me washing my razor off after every "stroke" or whatever you want to call it. I asked them because the couple girls I talked to said whenever they shave their legs they never cut themselves. They said I should do 2 to 3 strokes, and then wash the shaving cream off to reduce the chance of cutting.

I was wondering, does anyone else here have any tips to not cut themselves while shaving? Any advice is welcome.

And does their theory of not rinsing after every stroke hold any merit?

The solution is to have more blades on your razor

    You're doing it wrong.

I do one stroke and then rinse, stroke, rinse, repeat, and I don't cut. Just wtf man.

Doubtful, never had that issue, and I don't use anything like shaving cream either, just water.

edit: Don't shave my legs, but I can't imagine that it would somehow be different from the legs to any other region of the body.

Washing and tapping the razor after each stroke clears the hair out of the blades. Clean blades means a smoother cut and will cut you less. And chances are youre getting cut because youre using an old razor, or one with few blades, more blades will make a smoother cut as well. You can shave with just water, but some sort of cream will make the job easier.

You really only need to make one pass, but when I shave my face, I usually do one pass to get most of it out of the way, and another to make it smooth.

you shouldn't be applying that much pressure to be cutting yourself, the blade itself may be getting dull, have you tried changing razors? or razor brands?

I'm terrible at shaving. I haven't gone against the grain since 9th grade, I always end up cutting myself :c

When it comes to shaving a face, no it does not. Infact it helps, as a clean blade makes for a smoother cut.

Guys shouldn't shave their legs if you ask me, unless you are a gril.

I'm well aware of the implied joke, but it's actually a decent suggestion.

Try some different razors. I have to use a different razor to shave my head than the one I use for my face. Razors perform differently on various types of skin.

Why should a guy shave their legs, its natural and looks good unless you look like an ape.
