That might actually be your best bet if you find yourself cutting yourself frequently even with a clean blade and shaving cream. You can try the other stuff, but you might just have really thin skin, in which case you should just go pick up a girl's razor.

I'm well aware of the implied joke, but it's actually a decent suggestion.

Completely legit suggestion, if you cut yourself with any kind of regularity with that thing something is seriously wrong.

Off topic: agree about the bodygroom trimmer for guys, thing is awesome.

On topic: only real reason you should get cuts/irritation is a dull blade. Can only really say only shave with brand new blades. For my face at least, I must have a really coarse beard because I can't even finish shaving before a blade feels very dull... I only use electric and just settle for a less smooth shave now. Replacement blades just cost too much if I need a new one every damn day..

As for my face, what works for me is don't press too hard and don't try to be cheap and use the same blade for a long time. As the blade gets dull it seems to cut me up more. Probably because it gets harder to get a clean shave and this makes me use more pressure.
