I always use my husband's razor, and wiggle it around in the bath tub when i'm shaving my legs. The only part i ever cut is around my knee, and i haven't done that in a very long time. Those stupid 'Venus' razors suck! huge ass protrusions above and below the blades don't make it more comfortable, they make it easier to put too much force on the it to get it around knees, ankles and bikini zones. So... if you're using one, toss it!

I have heard that mens razors were better to use on legs because they are meant for the face, hence more sensitive to skin, but I never wanted to believe it, lol.

    Would you recommend it?

Really? Men's razors? Hmm. That is interesting. What kind does your husband use, Zouri?

I don't get cuts usually on my legs. I've learned to go slow...

But I'm also wondering, how do you guys shave your armpits? I always cut myself there and can't ever get a close shave.

And for "down there"...do you guys shave or wax?

Yes, I'm a girl just to clarify.

I'm not experienced in the fine art of shaving my legs, but it's easier to shave if your skin is moisturised beforehand. Perhaps try shaving after a shower/bath? Legs are probably different to the face though idkbro.

But I'm also wondering, how do you guys shave your armpits?
I don't ; ; I get rid of any unpleasant hair but otherwise...

And for "down there"...do you guys shave or wax?

My woman stole mine every damn time I get new heads, til I got her one of these:

The principle behind vibrating razors is rooted in sound scientific principles. One of the main problems faced by shavers is the elusive nature of individual hair follicles. An ordinary razor can only shave the hairs which rise above skin level and remain there. Other hairs may lay flat against the skin and escape the wrath of the blade.

Vibrating razors are believed to stimulate the muscles around hair follicles which cause hairs to stand on end. Once these hairs have been raised, they are quickly shaved off by the blades. The result is often a perceived closer shave, although it may be more accurate to say it is a more thorough shave.

Vibrating razors are also said to aid shavers by reducing the sensation of drag often created by other manual razors. The vibrations appear to create a gliding sensation as the blade is drawn across the skin. The motor assembly and battery contained in the handles of vibrating razors also change the balance, which many shavers find to be an advantage over lightweight razors. By improving the grip and balance, vibrating razors encourage shavers to use more definite strokes.
Dunno about all that, but it was really fucking easy to shave with.

You could always be metal and get used to one of these:

I would probably die within a week if I was using oldschool blade.

Its really not as dangerous as you'd think. To be honest, with little-to-no experience with one. You'd literally have to force yourself to cut your throat, or go at a really odd angle lol. The problem I find with using the older, but superior method. Is if you're gonna go that route, be ready to spend some cash on Grade A accessories + small maintenance bits.

At the end of the day, your average joe is too lazy for upkeep. Unless you're this guy.

Really all you need. And a good shaving cream, not some coolwhip Barbasol. Doing a single pass with the grain with small strokes (and rinsed blade) is usually enough for most people to have a smooth face/leg/ass. Never do passes over the same area without some sort of lube or risk razor burn.

Scars are hot and should be enough of a turn on to compensate for the fact you're clumsy enough to cut yourself.

Off topic: Damnit max, stop posting animations of 4D cubes in your signature, I always wind up staring for like 10 minutes. ';.;'

On topic: anyone know how to deal with ingrown hairs from shaving and how to avoid them? It really sucks when I get one of those lumps that last for weeks before they finally raise high enough to get the hair out. ><

Not when they've got the clear 3-4 razor marks, it just looks like you're doing it for attention. However, yes scars can be cool.

And get a trimmer, much easier than shaving. I use a Phillips one, was £18 and well worth the money if you keep it clean and don't let the hair clog it up.

I actually use a Mach 3 men's razor on my legs. Always found that it gives me a better shave.

Do you shave one clean line from ankle to knee? Because if you're nervous about nicking yourself and making shorter more tentative strokes you'll increase the liklihood of cutting yourself. Also make sure to rinse the razor clear of hair after each stroke. Make sure your skin is wet or soaped too - I don't use soap or foam (at least on my legs, ladyparts are a different story) but I always shave under running water. I haven't cut myself shaving in years.

Another thing is the angle at which you hold the razor - a 35 degree angle works really well for me. And don't be afraid to press the safety ridge thing against your skin, it protects you from the blades but can't really do that if it's not touching your skin.

As for ingrown hairs, the only method I know of to prevent those is frequent exfoliation.

I also find men's razor to be a lot smoother shave. I have cut myself a couple times mostly from times I'm away and forget to bring my own razor and I settle for cheap ones. Get the razor with 3 or 4 blades on them, shave under running water and long strokes.

Completely legit suggestion, if you cut yourself with any kind of regularity with that thing something is seriously wrong.

Also, nothing wrong with men using women's hygiene products. Ex: Secret is the best deodorant there is, period.
Wow, I'm really slow on the uptake all of a sudden. My bad.

Totally thought we were talking about a guy shaving their legs, lol.

So the consensus is to use men's razors? Guess it's time to buy a new razor then. :D

And people use shaving cream for lady parts? I've always been weary of using cream for that...but I'll try it.

I used shaving foam for a while, but I'm usually too cheap for that and just use hair conditioner. Gives a good glide, which is the whole point. But as far as I recall shaving foam was better.

I never read any whole thread... yet somehow I did on this on

odd cuz I think men shaving their legs is just weird, unless you're a swimmer where smooth legs makes a difference.
