Having to wear 3D glasses over my normal glasses is just far too annoying to see any movies in 3D.
Best part of the movie:
Spoiler: show
I liked it. I just think I liked Iron Man a little more and that some parts were unnecessarily annoying. Then again Thor is a Marvel comic I read the least growing up.
Buddy tossed me a promo copy of it his friend had given him. I enjoyed it. It wasn't fantastic but it was entertaining. And I always forget how hot Natalie Portman is until I see her on screen. God I would terrorize her ass.
I tell the same thing to all my friends - I liked the Asgardians. I didn't like.Spoiler: show
On second viewing, I have to say I did like it better than the first time... Thor as a hero also grew on me a little (out of the Avengers, I read Thor the least and Iron Man the most).
Oh... and Heimdall is fucking awesome.

Also have the Comic-con movie promo poster on my door.
Pretty excited about this. I could personally do without Fraction's work going on right now, but Thor's always been my favorite Marvel character along with Bucky-Cap in recent years (and my favorite DC character is Green Lantern, exciting few months for movies)
Just watched it a second time with the wife. Enjoyed more than the first time. I was never a big fan of Thor in the comics but the movie did a fair representation of the character. Again, thoroughly enjoyable waste of 90 minutes. He should be an interesting component in the Avengers.
I just wonder how the rest of the Avengers are really going to be of any use, given that Thor could fucking take them all (Hulk included).
I'm getting really hyped about the Avengers movie.
At least 20 minutes of deleted scenes will be included on the DVD/Blu-Ray release.
http://splashpage.mtv.com/2011/05/02...nneth-branagh/"Thor" hits theaters here in the U.S. this week, but as with any film, there's likely to be some footage that can only be seen when the film arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray a few months later.
MTV News sat down with "Thor" director Kenneth Branagh to discuss some of the scenes that didn't make the final cut, and what we can expect to find in the "Special Features" section when the god of thunder brings his big debut to shelves.
"On the DVD you'll see many deleted scenes," Branagh told MTV News, then proceeded to describe — in vague, non-spoilery terms — some of the footage you won't see in theaters.
"On the way to this particular cut, in pursuit of what we felt was the perfect balance for this first time out with Thor, we had to not so much sacrifice — because this felt like the right thing to get to," explained Branagh, "but with certain areas of the story, things like the Asgardian parents, Odin and Frigga, played by the beautiful Rene Russo, there's some beautiful scenes in there that I think people will enjoy."
"And certainly Thor and Loki interacting in different ways that just fill in a little bit of a back story, that was part of our rehearsal and research," he added. "I think it's going to be an interesting bunch of material."
As for how much of that material finds its way to the DVD and Blu-Ray editions of "Thor," Branagh offered a rough estimate of the content.
"I guess it's got to be 20 minutes worth, I think," he said. "It's a significant amount, actually."

Hulkbuster that shit brah. Well, at least till you can get a tranq in that in mofo.
Watch 2d version of this if you can the 3d was bleh.
Okay, I seem to remember saying I never followed Thor (or Hulk, for that matter). We're talking years ago when I still read comics and wasn't getting any pussy. I haven't touched them since I was a kid. I was referring to within the continuity established in the movies.
Nope. A passing reference to Donald Blake is made throughout the movie though.
all the girls in the audience was cheering at a certain scene <3 <3 <3 <3 can't get over how wow Chris Hemsworth was.![]()
Just got home from a screening. I went into the movie expecting nothing and wound up pretty impressed. I was surprised by the quality until I saw the story was by J. Michael Straczynski. The man knows how to tell a story. If you like comic book movies at all or you're just looking for something to do this weekend, I'd definitely go see it.
Spoiler: show
I thought it was cool, not wow good like Iron Man. Maybe it's because I'm not familiar with Thor and I was sleepy having just got off work.
I liked
Spoiler: show
And Natalie Portman omg, so fione.
