I haven't read comics in a loooong time but even I geeked out at the Stan Lee cameo.

Stan's cameo was really clever, as was the Hawkeye cameo.
I really enjoyed Thor. I saw it today, and I loved everything about it.
Oh man, i just realized Chris Hemsworth was Kirk in that StarTrek movie. He really did get large and in charge.
oh Kirk's dad, nvm. I derped.
Thought it was really well done. Obviously it had more fantasy elements than say Iron Man, but I enjoyed it. I thought all the characters(except maybe the Warriors Three) weren't one dimensional. I thought Tom Hiddleson was AMAZING as Loki.
also, I geeked at this cameo
Spoiler: show
Hemsworth and Hiddleston are both definitely going to be hot Hollywood properties after this and the Avengers.
The JMS cameo was a good one too
JMS?
I thought that Loki practically stole the show. He's going to be great in The Avengers.
Just got back from seeing this, absolutely loved it! Stan Lee's cameos always crack me up in the Marvel movies. Now I noticed that, but missed the Hawkeye mention above about a cameo, what part was that in?
Also for those who stayed til the very end:
Spoiler: show
When Thorfirst went to get Mjollnir and the guy with the bow was talking to the main S.H.I.E.L.D. guy about taking him down.Spoiler: show
Also info about the Cosmic Cube is at the beginning of this page.
Saw this tonight. Was awesome!! I enjoyed ever minute of it. I agree with what a couple people said though. It could have been a bit longer to give the story some more depth. Still was great though. I'm a Marvel comics fan so I always have high hopes for these movies. They nailed this.
Watched in 2D btw.
So, am I the only person who thought this movie was pretty meh? I don't think the Asgard <-> Earth stuff fit very well at all. And the rest was pretty average.
Meh? The one-liners in this movie alone makes it epic lol.
Saw it in glorious 2D and it's inferior to the Iron Man films, but well above the Ed Norton Hulk flick by miles, even with the revival of the Anakin-Padme school of romantic subplot writing. My major complaint is the editing during the battle scenes. It was IMPOSSIBLE to make out what was going on during the first Asgard/Jotunheim battle and even during Thor's invasion of the same it was a little tricky to make out who was fighting what. I guess they could have just shot the Frost Giants better in general. Large dark blue figures against large, dark blue rocks doesn't read well in fast motion.
That said it's still a fun ride of a film, with plenty to geek out over (sup hawkeye).
Very funny. Loved the dramatic brother storyline. Somewhat Shakespearean. Also loved Thor having to fall as a hero to appreciate what it really takes to be a hero and rise.
I won't lie, all the "fallout" scenes in Asgard after the final fight were well done. I hadn't been as shaken up by a movie in a while especially when
Spoiler: show
Went in with low expectations since it didnt look very good, and would probably be the hardest Avenger related movie to pull off, but I came out pretty satisfied.
Most people were saying the wished they spent more time on earth, but I wish it was more focused in asgard, but thats just because I like my norse mythology I guess. But unfortunately they went different directions with some of the 'true norse lore'; namely the odin, thor, loki relationship...
My favorite part was:
