FFXI crashes when I open Battlefield 2

well my problem is that whenever I am just idling around in FFXI and want to play some BF2, whenever I open up BF2, FFXI just crashes :/ i've tried having ffxi in windowed mode but that still doesnt fix the problem. Anyone else have this problem?

using Windows 7 x64 btw~

Not trying to sound redundant, but is BF2 Windowed also?

nah BF2 is always fullscreen, i tried running them both fullscreen but ffxi crashes, then i tried FFXI 1024x768 and it still crashes :/

FFXI doesn't really like it when something else goes fullscreen. Sometimes it doesn't crash, sometimes it does. Fullscreen videos seem fine, but any other game seems to crash it pretty consistently.

Anything that changes your resolution will usually make ffxi crash.

ya so far its been 100% like with wow if i //minimize ffxi before opening wow it would work but if i didnt it would crash but with BF2 it crashes 100% whatever i do.

so basically there is nothing I can do? xD

Run BF2 in a window or something similar. :3 If running BF2 through steam try adding "-novid -noborder -sw" to the launch options and see it that works?

i dont think i could play BF2 in window mode lol i like it too much in full screen, and no im running it from the CD :/

The hell are you multitasking games for? You can play BF2 windowed if you really want to.

Go to the shortcut for starting BF2 and type under the target part of the properties menu "+fullscreen 0".

This is correct, window all the programs in question. Otherwise its not going to work.
