Castlevania: Harmony of Despair (XBLA/PSN)

I tried playing it with some people in custom matches last night, but I kept getting booted by asshats. I can't beat the first level on hard by myself. I like the game a lot so far. The levels are short, but challenging. The characters each have different strengths. My only issue so far has been getting more of my friends to give it a shot so I can make some waves on hard. Plus, I still haven't gotten anything new for Shanoa.

That being said, if anybody needs somebody to run with, send me a PM or something.

Anyone who did happen to pick it up tried playing with people overseas?

I did a custom match last night with 5 European players and I didn't notice any lag on my end, but then again I was the odd one out being a US player. No one complained of lag and we actually worked well as a team, which is more than I can say for trying to play it with my normal friends.

Anyone leveling jonathan so far hes my favorite char but I hit a wall lvling his equips at lv 5 out of max 8 and it is taking foreverrr to go up... Any tips would be appreciated.

its just takes forver, just play and try to get better armor

just finished chapter 6 hard solo with shanoa, double pneumea <3. I really wish they would have added more weapons for her, i mean come on 3 different glyphs and 4 different spells doesnt cut it for her... (compared to how powerfull she was in OoE)

I was afraid of that so far I've gotten almost all of the weapons at 5 sept grenade cause lvling that can suck my balls. atm it seems its going to take a lot of grinding to just go from 5-6 let alone the rest of the lvls and then for each one...

I don't mind grinding but this seems like it'll take foreverrr.

armor + stats seems to have way more impact on the skills then the lvl of the skills (at least from what I can tell a bit oO)

I was stuck on chapter 6 normal with jon so I switched it up to shanoa and beat the final boss after playing her for only 50 mins. without a health pot such a cheap char.

I got boomerang up to lv 7 now though and destroyed the final boss.

Yeah I picked this up today and almost got boned by it, he caught me twice because I simply couldn't reach the next Iron Maiden fast enough solo, but ended up clutching it out with 1 HP :O

If you're playing as Alucard you can Mist to avoid the attack if you're timing is good though, makes the whole thing exceedingly cheap.

Been using Shanoa, but taking a bit of a break for now. Three tries at it was enough for me given you need like 10-15m to get to him the long way.

Thats because she has wonderfull spell attacks and ranged attacks (2x pneumea) that do good dmg from ranged. But her dmg goes way down on hard mode, she cant put out the dmg the close combatants do later on (not in that quick succsession). Thats why you can play pritty safe with her, ecxept for chapter 4 hard mode.

its not that hard, just put the crates everywhere into the falls. this only leaves 2-3 options for him, which are close by, and easy to reach if you know where you are going and if you opened up all paths (very important). This is even more importent in hard mode, because when he catches you its instant death.

I have the first gen 360 and so far no freezes. Don't know about online, haven't played a second of it.

I had that happen to me on demo, when i left my 360 on for 9 hours straight.

Can't say that was the case for me. Cold start, probably not even 10 minutes in to the system being powered.
