I stoped playing castlevania HD. My interest went away after getting all Rare drops for Shanoa and Soma (which has not even 1/4 of all the souls gathered). Basicly its no challenge anymore. Especially playing as soma or with soma, there is no challenge because shit dies so fast.
I hope they make a 2. one, that isnt a Rip off like this one anymore.
Definitely more has gone into some characters than others. I feel like some of it would be more tolerable with the grind diminished some, but that's just inviting lolezmodenoob flames. Personally, I don't regret picking up the game, but I guess it's kinda wasted potential. If they had a stage builder, though...
Has there been any word for a PSN version yet? I know if this sold well it could possibly be on psn.
Sweet.

Castlevania: Harmony Of Despair Bound For PS3
PlayStation 3 owners will be able to take part in the vampire hunter reunion. Castlevania: Harmony of Despair brings characters from Konami’s Castlevania series including Soma Cruz, Shanoa, Jonathan Morris, Charlotte, and of course Alucard. There is even an 8-bit Simon Belmont available and a stage based on the original Castlevania available as downloadable content.
While it was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive last summer, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is indeed coming to PlayStation Network. The news comes to Siliconera via two different sources.
Designed primarily as a multiplayer game, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair lets players battle Death, Dracula, and Menace with up to six players. Doubles are OK. So, you can finally have an all Alucard party, if you want. The final set of downloadable content went on sale in February and featured a crossover with the Japan-only Famicom game Lunar Wind Demon Legend.
Enjoy your GRINDING FOREVER. I still have no idea how I put so many damn hours in to this game.
Yeah, the grind can certainly be harsh, especially if you're going for stage 10 loot.

Fuck yeah! Couch Co-Op! Day one purchase!
Well, at least they get the ridiculously overpriced map for free, I guess that's one benefit of having to wait years for it to be ported over... having Yoko forced upon you however is... unfortunate. I wonder if they fixed the audio bug with her. In the 360 version, you can hear her shouts no matter where she is in the stage (as opposed to only on screen like other characters). It can get exceptionally annoying to the point where I know people who deleted the DLC for her just to avoid it, haha.
Everything wants to come out next month

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair Sounds Off On PlayStation 3 In September
Castlevania: Harmony of Despair for PlayStation 3 has a release window. Konami announced at Gamescom that the digital download game will be available in September.
Harmony of Despair on PlayStation 3 includes the DLC from the Xbox Live Arcade version. This includes additional characters like Julius Belmont and Yoko Belnades, and “Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire” (Pyramid of Ruin) DLC map.
Also present in the PlayStation 3 version are a local 4-player co-op mod and 6-player online.
Anyone playing this on PS3? Ran into Ozzybx and was wondering if anyone else played. It'd be cool to get a BG group to do runs. I usually run Stage 6 for the weapons but I'll play any level.
I'll probably be picking it up whenever they have a bundle sale.
I was just expecting a little more from a one year old port as far as not trying to milk us out with the Xbox DLC packs day-1, even if they did include one of them into the core package. Just means I have to wait a little longer to experience it vs. those who don't mind paying for it all at normal price.
How is the local multiplayer handled as far as the screen space goes btw?
At least you got the retardedly expensive stage for free. Chapter 7 alone was $5 USD on the Xbox, kinda ridiculous. Fucking hate that stage too, God damn Miser Rings.
Retro stage pisses me off a lot more than 7. Can't see myself getting the PS3 version, though, and I wouldn't expect a bundle since I don't think they ever did one for 360.
I've always liked Fuma's stage a lot, not really sure why. Origins is admittedly pretty shitty after a while, but I just played as Soma or made sure I had a friend to do the shortcut on their Soma when I ran it, makes it far more tolerable. Didn't help that it was almost impossible to run groups of it with randoms because nobody can fucking kill The Count without dying a billion times too.
Mainly his fireballs glitching and going invisible that pissed me off there.
Be prepared to either hate it or have your life consumed by it. I have never seen any middle ground.
Is the game any more solo friendly than when it started out?
A lot of what I read makes it sound like a full group is the way to go to speed the process of farming gear for your characters. I don't know how the DLC zones fit into all that. Are they supposed to be progression of the base content, or just side-stuff?
