ahh, I guess this is old news as it was broken on April 10th
http://www.neverknowtech.com/home/20...-jailbrok.htmliPad users everywhere who became accustomed to the sweet perks of a jailbroken iDevice, or current/future iPad owners who might be interested in a much less Appled-down slate; here is your good news. Geohot, famous for his work in the iPhone OS jailbreak community, as well as for his mind-boggling jailbreak of the PS3, has announced that they have official installed blackra1n (and of course Cydia) on an iPad. While he has been given much of the credit for this announcement, it seems a lot of the work was done by fellow modder @comex. There's no publicly released downloadables just yet, but given the speed with which they've kept up to Apple's updates in the past we can only to say keep refreshing that blog!

but the hacker teams seem to be making strides on making it user friendly
http://www.neverknowtech.com/home/20...-3g-video.htmlThe iPhone Dev Team has already surprised us with their work on the newly released iPad 3G, just a few days after it's release. While we've already gotten news that the iPad had been jailbroken, we're now hearing that the team of hackers/developers have been able to successfully use a T-Mobile SIM to send a text message. At this point, the hack lacks a GUI and is in it's early stages. It does, however, demonstrate some of the potential for this device!
