The Cons:
It weighs 50% more and takes up a bit more space, it only has one HDMI port, it has less tilt range, uses more power and isn't Windows 7 certified just Vista (lol not sure how much that'd matter, but sounds like an older version monitor based off that). Also, possibly has worse (3000:1 vs 15000:1) contrast depending on how X-Contrast functions.
The Pros:
Slightly bigger viewable screen size, higher contrast ratio when not in X-Contrast mode (but lower when in it, and idk wtf x-contrast mode is or how often it is on), bigger built in speakers and a faster response time of 2ms vs 5ms (typical) or equal if counting old ones overdrive mode (idk what this is).
Not familiar with this brand or these particular monitors, and don't keep up with monitor specs too much, but that's a quick breakdown of what my untrained eyes see.
I'd say it depends on the "Overdrive" and "X-Contrast" modes and how frequently they are active. If they are something that stays on full time then old monitor definitely wins. If not... well 2ms vs 5ms and .4 inches bigger screen as well as bigger built in speakers (lol it's something) make it look more attractive. Also, not sure what the difference is between "Full HD" and WXGA+ either, and am too lazy to Google. That might be something to look into.
At any rate good luck with things, and hope you get it fixed! Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Edit: Ahh, try clicking on the two 28" models, and you will see the exact same differences as between the two above. Basically it looks like for each size they have two models. Looks like they are trying to give you the "not as good" 25" model when you had the best one. It's pretty funny the 25" they are trying to give you uses the same power and weighs the same as the best 28" one. They are trying to give you a huge clunker imo. I'd tell em no deal and they better give me the best 28" one lol. If they don't have one equal to it then they better go up in value rather then try to go down on you! This one is almost identical to your old one, but 28" instead of 25". This is it:
