nah i haven't bought any bucks, I spend a lot of time just playing and grinding the elevator while i watch tv or do other stuff.

My girlfriend and I have been playing way too much Tiny Towers. I've got my gold elevator and I'm at like 26 floors, almost at 27. I think the graphics are what is keeping me addicted. I am always so excited to see what my new floor is going to be. Not to mention I have been spending so much coinage on dressing up my Bitizens depending on where they work so they are easy to find. Cake Studio = Bandana Do-Rags... Hat Store = Top Hats... Sushi Bar = Headbands... Pharmacy = scrub-colored shirts... So on and so forth

That's actually a great idea. I sorted my tower floors by category (in the order they appear in the stat menu), so from the bottom it's Food -> Service -> Recreation -> Retail -> Creative with apartments on top, but I haven't done anything to my Bitizens' appearance to make them easier to find. Now that I have the gold elevator, I've been trading in my Tower Bux every time I earn 50 (usually every 1.5-2 days since I play a lot) for 100k, although at 37 floors that currently only covers half of the cost of a new floor lol.

What is your gamecenter ID btw? Mine is Hawtpants

I just started TT. fun game to sort of play when things are slow. mistmonster is my gamecenter ID. I can't figure out if anything you do makes a difference, though. Painting things, dress up, sorting your floors like you did, keeping employees happy... etc

not really, sorting floors and dressing people up just makes your tower look more orderly, and I guess could make it easier to track down bitizens for that "where's waldo"-type minigame

The numbers representing peoples skills determine the discount you get when restocking a product. So if you have a frozen yogurt place and your employees have skill levels of 7, 6, and 9 in Food, you'll get a 22% (7+6+9) discount when you restock.

Placing a bitizen in a dream job gives you 3 tower bux instantly, but also doubles the amount of product you get when restocking. Having 1 bitizen in a dream job on a particular floor doubles the 1 coin item quantity, 2 bitizens doubles the quantity for the 1 and 2 coin items, and having all 3 bitizens with their dream jobs will give you twice as much of all 3 products sold on that floor.

Generally speaking, the number/aptitude of a person for a particular jobs will only save you a little money over the long run (since the difference between a 6 and a 9 is only 3%) but having a dream job is a lot more beneficial, as it allows you to go longer between restocking/checking your tower and gives you twice as much product for the money.

Working on my 8th floor in Tiny Towers. I seem to have found the groove for the game: Stock up fully, do elevator duty during the shorter stock-ups, stock the stores.....sleep. Also seems like a waste of time to build a new floor for making money if you don't already have 3 people ready to hire for it, so I'm stuck waiting on my next floor to be an apartment before moving on.

What I could use is an elevator that settles on a floor quicker. How many of them are there anyway? I'm on the second one currently, and slowly saving up the 75 bucks for it. Also, is it me or do you always end up with a construction-worker VIP when you don't need them?

there's 1 more elevator after the 75 bucks one IIRC, it costs 125. Unfortunately it's even easier to overshoot floors with it because it's so fast, I really wish they'd include a "snap to floor" option or something

Yeah, I am a little torn about the 'best' elevator. I absolutely hate the gold color on top of that. I am assuming they'll eventually patch in some more endgame (lol) stuff... I can't imagine going up 100 floors with any of these elevators...

Also yes, there is some unspoken rule that you will only get construction worker VIPs right after you spend the bud to hurry construction and ey will cease toreartheirheads once you add a new floor.

Pro tip: send Big Spender and Celebrity VIPs to floors that only have the third item stocked, forcing them to only buy that item. If you have a place with ultra-high stock like a Cake Studio and plan that accordingly, it can be a real quick 9000 coins. 18000 if you have 3 dream jobbers in it too.

Wish there was a little more depth to the game. As it stands it's pretty simple and gets into routine quickly, but I guess that's the reason why it's top of the iTunes grossing list currently.

Do VIP ever leave the elevator? I had a builder in mine, and hit sleep on my Touch. Came back an hour later and he's still there, so I used the cash I got during that time to build a new floor asap. >.>

I don't think so. Once a VIP is in a elevator I don't think they leave until you use them. Also once you click on the elevator with the VIP in it you can't cancel out of it, unfortunately.

Yeah, you got to be a little careful about mashing the elevator button too soon for Big Spenders if you don't already know where you have the most valuable lump of stock or might want to rush stocking or quick-sell cheaper items. I'm pretty bad about thinking about it before I start the elevator.
