Kuya I am interested to hear your thoughts on language acquisition in a view of psychology that precludes evolutionary factors. Why did language emerge, and how did it emerge, and how does one account for the ease with which it is acquired early in life?

Why should psychology preclude evolutionary factors? My critique is that evolutionary psychology has soft evidence for its statements and it has a tendency to be ad hoc.

I'm pretty sure sociology does not refute biology in it's entirety; rather it demonstrates that certain biological factors lose relevance in the context of a constructed society and also cautions against conflation of biological elements and associated social elements (i.e. sex and gender, respectively).
