im having so much fun with this game, i just got to Leonardo and when i saw you could shoot poison darts i got really happy because poison is awesome

This. It has saved me in many-a-situations. You can poison guards from a distance without the others noticing you, and then have them beat the others up by flailing around It's one of my favorite weapons.

too bad there's not really any real use for them. They get you free money, but I have yet to find something I couldn't buy. They're fun to use to kill someone while you just watch, and the occasional back-up, but completely unnecessary. They might be good for getting items, if I ever see an item that I actually need from the missions that is.

One of the contracts rewards you with Indian Diamond, needed for the Blacksmith shop quest. But, if you fill the assassin slots with all maxed assassins there's still like a 5% chance of failure.

The random thieves that attack you throughout the city occasionally drops them too. I've got 3 of them from random thief attacks, and I'm only on chapter 5. I have a much harder time finding Shrunken Heads. Luckily they appear in chests.

As for the Assassins, they make some missions a lot easier. The ones where you need to avoid detection can be made a whole lot easier by just sending the assassins out to attack whatever you see rather than taking a detour or assassinating them yourself. I find that somewhat boring, though, as it makes the game so much easier they may just remove enemies altogether.

How is multiplayer? Is it any fun or even playable? When I was envisioning this game's multiplayer, I thought of Tom Clancey's: Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, but mercs with no weapons.

Haven't touched it yet. But some people have told me it's pretty fun.

i tried it earlier and was having a blast, it actually works without feeling like just another multiplayer mode, theres perks and stuff you unlock like changing your disguise or speed burst for a little while, and nothing feels overpowered. and i was always on my toes looking for my target while getting chased by 3 people, really epic

It's incredibly fun.

Though I do wish it wasn't so luck based, especially when it comes to where you spawn/where your target is when you get him as a contract.
When you're in 1st or 2nd, and you have 3 people on you and your target is all the way on the other side of the map, it's extremely doubtful you're going to make it to him unless you get real lucky and your opponents kill civilians, which has happened on more than 1 occasion for me.

Multiplayer is fun but here are my complaints about it.

- You're pretty much fucked if you try to make a get away and your connection lags enough for them to catch up to you.

- If they're coming from in front of you and they fuck up enough for the game to warn you, they shouldn't have access to an insta kill unless it's ranged or they poison you. The O button only works when they're not actually trying to kill you. When you're going for that kill, you're spamming that square button a lot more than a person is probably pressin the O button, if he's even pressing it at all.

- I also feel they should've entered some type of hot and cold system when someone is coming to assassinate you to as a counter for the permanent marker on your head. They don't even have to point the person out, just have a bar or circle turn blue or red based on how close they are too you instead of having that stupid red icon pop up oftentimes when it's too fucking late for you to react. Sometimes a dude'll be trailing you while you're going to kill someone and then you're helpless to defend yourself because you're locked into animation without even having any damn idea how close they were to you in the first place.

This is also my first day online and I've not unlocked everything so my opinion might change later on. That said, if anyone wants to play together on PS3, hit me up. Even better if you have a mic.

Well, for the counter thing, it says in the game that it is not something that is reliable and only an emergency opt out which sometimes works.
That being said, the game really does need some kind of reliable counter because yeah, sometimes you can see your killer coming 5 seconds ahead, but due to your placing and people being able to seemingly leap 10feet forward to kill you basically guarantees you'll die.

and that red icon is indeed pretty useless. my killer will have the icon, or wont have it but I've seen him run/jump off a roof, so I'll start to run away from him, but he'll jump forward and kill me and still get the discreet bonus.

How do you get to the Lair of Romulus in the Campagna region? It's the one that is below ground in a brick structure on a ledge with water underneath it. I can't figure out how to get to the ledge. I can't jump to it, can't climb to it and it doesn't look like I can use the parachute to get to it.

you have to fix all the aqueducts to raise the water to reach it
