Level 80 sub-jobs and you

so the question is who will invite mages into exp pts after lvl 80 when you can have a crap load of haste and cure power with just:

DNC: merited haste samba +10 haste, + cure power
COR/WHM: haste + 2 powerfull rolls (one of them could be exp+) + sleeps with light shot
BRD/NIN: puller + 2x marches...


I dont see much place for any mage there, this trio has everything covered with lvl 80 :/

It won't go that way. We'll think and plan it and then SE will throw us a curveball and give mages some new shiny and we'll rethink it all over again.

Also I think we'll see a lot fewer CORs and BRDs out there 75+. People are starting to narrow down the jobs they want to take to 99. I think until 80+ it won't differ that much but after that, well I think parties are going to get interesting. I know very few people who have BRD and/or COR right now who intend to take them to 99.

FoV in Cape Terrigan is already utter hell as it is. Everyone and their mother doing Magian Trials, exping NPCs, and exping 24 hours a day. JP prime-time is the worst, it has even spilled into Ro'meave and it's competition to claim Cursed Puppets.

I'm really curious where we will find non-sync'd EP for all Magian Trial mobs when you're 80+. I'm already bummed about letting my pet get killshots on currerntly EP+ Ghosts.

When i do FoV in Cape i usually just get page 5 and go sit next to where Kruetzet spawns admittedly i usually have a duo partner so its easier for me...

But i have noticed an overwhelming clusterfuck of people doing it lately =x

If you're a COR75, have you ever parsed how much of merit party's damage you actually do? Well, I actually did just that for the CORs I partied with. COR/RNG: ~7% of party's damage. RNG/WAR(/SAM): ~40% party's damage.
So please, either come as a real DD job, or stop pretending things, buy that Serket Ring or M.Kris and start using that /WHM or /DNC for party's/XP/your sake. Oh, and if you fancy DDing on non-/RNG, that's ~5% party's damage. So tell me, how is that /RNG useful?

As a Cor myself, if you are getting close to even 20%, get better DDs.

As far as the cor/whm, brd/nin thing the cor should come whichever DD sub they like, brd should /whm for the haste instead of the cor. Cor's can put up big numbers and if you are a brd that needs /nin to live during a pull you fucking suck and need to quit the game. I doubt it will be birds for much longer that reflect everything back. With no mage to ballad a brd that only plays two songs has A LOT of down time, where as the cor could be DDing instead of casting haste. Something that the brd would have loads of time to do himself if hes not lazy/sucks.

I'm sorry but 7% is unacceptable. I guess I didn't mention pick up parties, even when I merit with my friends I do anywhere 15-20%. 2k+ slugs on boiling blood dinos, and 1.2k+ slug spam on birds with a joytoy.

Oh man, a surefire winner here. Obviously that COR was pretty terrible, especially considering he came /RNG. Get a proper COR and try again. Even against absolutely decked out SAM/WAR or SAM/DRG, I come within a couple of % as COR/WAR. Wivre's make or break whether or not I win, depending on if I have TP when it uses Boiling Blood..
