Grinding 48 to 50 this weekend

Hi all, this weekend is double experience and I wanted to grind grind grind, but the only thing that's holding me back from doing that the fastest way possible is simply the best grinding spot for a Templar.
rangers, clerics, sorc and sometimes SM get to grind IL elites and it goes relatively fast on x2 weekends, but Temps can't do elites effectively.

Where would the best place for a lvl 48 templar to grind? I'm looking for an area with a ton of mobs that die kinda fast and any tips and advice that would help things go faster.

That coin quest gives ~2.2 mil exp with normal exp, spam the hell out of it this weekend and you'll hit 50 no problem.

nope the coin quest gives 256k exp, the non-repeatable quest "Calydon Hunt Wager" gives 2.2m exp

Would have been awesome if you was right, but sadly you're not

    Edit: Any more grinding tips?

Dunno if it's the one your talking about but, theres a x10 or x15 repeatable inside the Inn for killing Shamans/Assassin class, exp reward as far as I remember was better than the plat coin repeatable too.

Do dredgion's also this weekend, it's still really good exp once you get to the 5 dot mobs.

I know you're not trying me on Calydons, I've spent more time grinding them than you have in game.

Plat coin quest requires you to kill 52 mobs, at that level they give ~42k each (49k rested) iirc. That's 2.2 (2.5) mil exp, 2.7 (3) mil after you turn it in.

    Keep trying me. >.>

    Riddle me this wiseguy:

Turning in the quest from the closest Calydon location to the NPC at Jamanok Inn takes 3 mins each way, in 6 mins i can kill 6-7 Calydons (343k or 686k tonight) this would mean i'm losing out on 100k xp every time i turn in that quest.

inb4 "u get coinz brah" I'm not interested in farming coins, only grinding... hence the title.

But i do owe u an apoligy, i read what u said as "That coin quest gives ~2.2 mil exp PLUS normal exp" and it was a real coincidence that i was doing a quest that gave 2.2m exp in that same area

I wouldn't shit on the coin repeatables. That's a decent amount of coin as a byproduct of grinding (to go along with the decent amount of money you make grinding).

When I was doing the quest for exp, I would run to the ah as well to make a killing off premium stones/coins; now that it's not server day 9...not really worth the run to tuen in I guess.

Setting bind point to Jamanok Inn will save you quite a bit of travel time in between coin turn ins. Grind for your 52 hairs then cast return and turn in. If return is still on cooldown when you get enough hairs, just keep grinding there until its back up. Make sure to keep sanctum scrolls or w/e location scrolls you want easy access to on hand to get out of theo easily.

It's still not as fast in terms of EXP as straight grinding them, but the little bit of EXP loss is well worth the coins imo.

Well, they hit hard, and as I alluded to, never freakin' dropped anything for me despite going through the repeat chain and squeezing coin runs alongside it. I'd honestly rather do the Lobsek version of coin runs even if the mobs are a couple levels lower. A higher consistency of Major Elemental Stones and the bonus money from She Sells Sea Salt by the Seashore every 20-25 minutes would do more for your income than maybe, sorta, kinda, possibly getting lucky from Calydons.

The run isn't as bad, either, but they still kinda suck compared to what I've heard of the Asmo Theo equivalent.

Honest opinion, though, both options suck. Was kinda hoping NC had tweaked TNLs by now instead of feeding EXP weekends, but whatever. Suggested date I've seen pimped for 1.9 is the 24th.

I'll stick with these untill x2 exp is over I think
