If you really can't afford a car you want, and you're current car runs reliably, there isn't much reason to settle for something really cheap. There are many good options in the 23-30k range that offer incredible options and feel and run great. By fall of this year there is going to be a lot of competitive and attractive models hitting showrooms. You just need to be a smart consumer and don't rush. A VW GTI 4 door or 2 door might be a car that's right up you're ally for 25k~ or a TDI model if you're a person who might be worried about gas money. An Audi A3 is another car around 23k~ I would highly recommend.

Maybe it's the region I'm in, but NOT NISSAN. Imagine SE service, but with a car.

On a point of view of financing and future

If you can't pay the monthly payment, is it a waste to give a big cashdown to give you the possibilities to pay the mensualities or is it not that big of a deal

Unless you are putting down a substantial Down Payment, they don't affect the monthly price of the car THAT much. Your interest rate is going to affect that much more. Depends on how much you want to put down though. If you have the cash at hand, pay the largest down payment you can afford. That will lower the total price of the loan, and also lower how much interest you are paying on said loan for the duration of it.

I don't ever take my own advice in this regard unfortunately, and put as little down as possible lol. That being said I don't shop for cars out of my price range either, hoping to "close the gap" with a down payment.

I'll try to explain my financial situation right now

After all my montly payments i get 600$ in my pockets per month

I want the Yaris and if i dont put a downpayment it will cost me 350$ per month
    and about 250$ with a 7000$ downpayment on 60months 0%.

So my boss says take that 7000$ and put it in REER (in here it's the money you put at the bank for your future) and pay the car each year with my Tax return.

But if i do that the car will cost me like 350$ + 120$ for insurance for about 470 and i gain 600, which means 130 in my pockets per month which is really close.

I'm 24 so also investing money for my future is also important.

    Gosh i hate money

If I only had $600 left per month after all my bills I wouldn't be looking at buying a new car honestly.

Like you said, that is going to leave you with either:

    $600 - ($470) = $130

    or

    $600 - ($370) = $230

Even if that is including ALL your expenses that month, it leaves you next to nothing to put into savings. I, personally, would not be comfortable knowing that I only had a $230 cushion at the end of the month in savings I could put away.

    I got my civic evaluated and it's worth 500$ i don't wanna put 2000$ repairs on a 500$ car

Honestly, you may not like it, but it sounds like you should invest in like an 07 Civic or Mazda 3 or something for around 5-6k. You'll be surprised how nice they are for that price, cheap as fuck to insure, and you'll never spend shit on repairs cuz what little does go wrong should still be under warranty.
