Things to do in London?

Madame Tussaud etc...check online for their free guided tour which they run daily, it's pretty good and gives you a quick glance at some key items to look out for in those areas, you could wander at your own pace after.

I'd pass on it. Expensive as hell, hot, boring, and packed with tourists and pickpockets.

Ew, the Angel. It's disgusting. If you want a real British pub with character instead of a chain-franchise whitewashed monstrosity populated by lager louts and drunk old men, try the Cittie of Yorke by Chancery Lane. A friend described it as "like a Viking drinking hall, but with better beer and less beards."

Eh it was quite cool when we were there, nice busy friendly atmosphere and the only bar we found proper ales on tap in... if you know of any around angel tube station that are better with proper seasonal ales let me know! But we went into 3 others and they only had the regular stuff on tap. Angel is a must cos of stumbling distance back to my bf's house. (He only just moved there about 2 weeks ago.)

Will definitely hunt down the Cittie though, but something a little closer to home would be A+

Serious question. I've had an interest in going to London myself hopefully by the end of the year. I'm also a bit of a prankster and I've no problems walking up to complete strangers if I need to.

People are saying how tourists are prone to getting pickpocketed when wearing their wallets in their back pocket.

What are the odds of me getting stabbed if I brought two wallets with me for the purpose of fucking with these people? One with all my necessities with me in the front pocket. Another wallet attached to some colorful scarfs loosely stapled to my back pocket which would be the bait?

I would say very low if you're planning to troll at none busy times (10am to 3pm), and if you're in crowded/popular areas.

Although I think that's just an old saying now, I rarely hear or see anything about pickpocketers nowadays. Still worth a try I guess. Not like I know anyone intentionally going out there for the purpose of being pickpocketed.

In Covent Gardens they were all over the place when this chick was doing street theatre. My sister were watching the show and my mom and I hung back from the crowd and watched. I'm 20 feet from the group and this chick in a ratty jacket stands pretty close to me but like a step back but she walked off when she saw my mom watching her. Then we had a guy in a superman jacket talking loudly on a cell phone(old like snake was probably the only thing on it) who would walk around and kept walking by us very closely. I think they hang around tourist hot spots as they do anywhere here in the US.
