You meant this?
I thought you meant that 100 different people involved in depicting Mohamed were killed in retaliation. This led to protests across the Muslim world, some of which escalated into violence with police firing on the crowds (resulting in a total of more than 100 deaths),[1] including setting fire to the Danish Embassies in Syria, Lebanon and Iran, storming European buildings, and desecrating the Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, French and German flags in Gaza City.[2][3
No, I'm talking about deaths related to the incident. There were killings but I'm not trying to imply that all of the deaths were murders or anything. I'm just saying there is a difference between death threats and actions that lead to real deaths.
The sentence means this: People who, for example drew Mohamed, were killed. Not just 100 random people as some sort of retaliation for a drawing as that can easily happen, but that 100 people who were involved in say, drawing Mohamed, were killed as a form of revenge for drawing it. I thought he meant this, but instead it was 100 people killed in a protest.
That the 100 were individual murders, and not a collective killing.
Your post does two things:
Equates groups who mearly threaten with groups who have commited acts of violence in the past. There is no justification for this equation unless you want to argue that the fact that they're Muslim is enough to say there is guilt by association. I can imagine that the number of people who threaten and do nothing is far higher than people who actually comit violence. Your association is imagenary. Not to mention scandalous. Your sentence can be taken to mean that Muslims (groups) have commited violence before, thus their threats carry a lot of weight (even though they didn't before, and Islamic terrorists have commited acts of violence before that have not led to a public state of paranoia over depicting Mohamed). I don't have to tell you that the statement would be met with outrage by Muslims, the majority who have never engaged in violence (not to mention threats of violence).
Similar reasons is a gross simplification of reality. Al Qaida had very explicit reasons for what it did that are not related to the reasons the website made veild threats, for example. Al Qaida cited US sanctions on Iraq and US support for Israel for the attacks. Nothing about depicting a prophet. The reasons are not similar unless you specify in what way they're similar, which would probably amount to a reaching argument.
True, people would pay more attention to threats of violence from Al Qaida because Al Qaida has actually committed violence before. A website that has no explicit connection to any terrorist org that has committed violence? The conclusion is absurd.
You're right, they don't make the connections on their own by posting pictures of people murdered for speaking against their beliefs and info on where to find people that pissed them off.
I'm just taking random groups that happen to be Muslim and grouping them together for no reason at all.
How religious profiling of me.
You go from groups who commit violence to a website that posts videos. This conversation is over.
I drew one but I think I did it wrong because it looked like some dirty guy with a beard.
bit like jesus actually
Related to the topic (at the end):
I think it would be a good thing if this idea lead to a shift in the unwillingness of people to criticize something that clearly warrants critical thought. A snowball effect that resulted in places like comedy central taking the ban off would be great.

Silly Shojin, MohammedCock wouldn't be cut!
Penis Mohammed. Yea, this is definitely about freedom of speech.
That is my problem with it. I generally mock religions as much as any agnostic/atheist and I think this censorship crap is stupid, but I have issue with intentionally going out of your way to provoke people. The original cartoons were all in good fun, a lot of this isn't. Not gunna shed tears for either side though.
