Anyway, while I agree that those outlined are distractions, I think it is interesting that a government official would point it out. Most governments love these kinds of distractions because it keeps the majority of the minds off of important issues, allowing more freedom for those who rule. At the same time, I don't think that attacking just those particular media is either fair or informed. The issue shouldn't be the distraction, the issue should be that the people are wanting to be distracted; find out why they are, and address it properly if it is a problem.
