^, COR Apollyon item. Otherwiki lists SW 2nd floor has highest probability, but I've seen folk mention soloing their COR items. Understood it's BLM or RDM soloing, but my question: Is there some secret to soloing the 8 Jidra and 8 babies? Or is there another location to get a high chance at it?

I did this a looooong time ago but will give it a shot to answer this question. I think I used a def build (carapace?) and def food, and capped sword skill and a bunch of hi-pots.

I think I used opo necklace and slept TP, then 2hr'd and kept requiem and elegy on him, used ws, icarus wing and ws again.

I remember my damage wasn't that great, Requiem basically did for him and I just stayed alive while he gradually DoT'd to death.

Good luck. Bear in mind this was back in maybe 2005 so a lot of stuff has changed since then.

some of my ls people were telling me he didn't really hit that hard and with elegy/reqiuem it was a joke. but i don't think i'll land it :<

I consider myself BLM main, and there are no combination of augments that make this body item superior to any of the other BLM body pieces already available.

Could make it a Fast Cast+5% for precast on BLM if you're looking for something Unique on BLM. If not you can't go wrong with the QD piece.

Yeah the damage reduction goes down based on the banish tier. Wiki lists banish 1 as 50%, 2 as 75%, and 3 as 97%.

How do I go about beating BRD Maat? Keep in mind my skills are below 100(fuck yeah Korroloka). SV double Paeon and swing?

I did:

Joyeuse + some sort of shield (elegant? tortoise?)
Full HP/DEF/Evasion gear (Carapace armor is perfect for this)
Taco
Shitloads of Hi-Potions
SV Paeons + elegy + requiem

With enough Hi-Potions you can outlast him. It's also luck-of-the-draw as one fight he might do Spinning Attack>One Inch Punch>Shoulder Tackle>One Inch Punch. The next attempt he might Asuran Fists>Asuran Fists>Howling Fists>Asuran Fists.

I'd say Yuhtunga Jungle's Outpost: 10 Young Opo-opos. It can last you a long time if you're OK with fighting EP for a while. Plenty of spawns, reward is 860exp.

I think that one is the easiest/safest one to grind through until you are high enough to go to the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah's outpost and take on 7 Goobbue Parasites + 3 Myxomycetes.

But, after the mid-40's there's a crappy FoV gap until the mid-60's

I actually think that the Sahagin and Makara page is pretty awesome because you can do a big circle from the Outpost down East to where the Sahagins spawn, do the page, and then fight your way back around killing a few crawlers and all the easy RNG goblins on the way. Opo's are pretty annoying to kill compared to the other options you have. I got really good exp until I think about 46-47 maybe, although I am not sure exactly how long that camp is good for.

I did not find Young Opo-opos annoying to kill whatsoever when they got below Decent Challenge. You could afk-kill them with Samba up as Melee/DNC.

If he's on Sam with Hagun and TPing in sTP +11 (Rajas, Brutal, Ecphoria, Rose Strap) does he need to WS in any sTP gear to maintain a 6-hit build?

Well, I assume he would WS in Rajas/Brutal/Rose Strap so no, he wouldn't need any extra STP gear during WS to keep 6 hit.
