If you have no refresh for rune chopper (the best option overall), work on upgrading a magian Gaxe. Also other easy options lyft voluge for /nin, and the pixie augment gaxe.

On the Rune Chopper note, would Turban+Sanction Refresh let you keep the latent up?

That would only keep it up half the time. You really just need to find a rdm that doesn't suck to keep you refreshed. Sadly that can't always happen, hence other Gaxe options. Oh yeah and fortitude axe ranks really high in there somewhere if you don't mind farming virtue stones. I'm not sure exactly of the gaxe tiers anymore.

Dang, was hoping it was full time like with Gaudy Harness and Rune Axes.

Edit: Which magian trial g-axe would you reccomend?

Yeah rune axe is only fulltime because regen takes the same amount of time as the mp drain to tic.

Ah, that makes more sense then. What is a good magian g-axe that doesn't require heavily on ZNM drops?

The 100 damage bone splitter is probably the best option then. You need to kill two different t2 VNMs 6 times though but that isn't exactly difficult to do even with a small pickup group. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Great_Axe_Trials

Would that or Martial be better if I don't have King's Justice and mostly use Raging Rush?

Barring Rune Chopper and/or OAT GAxe /nin (assuming you have gear to 6 hit it), stick to Fortitude Axe. Pizza build = who gives a shit about acc? and 50 attack. 64 damage, 50% DA vs. 100 damage, and either 6 att (lolacc) or 12 att... yeah. It's hard to beat.

Wouldn't the magian OAT G-Axe beat fortitude? Especially since you don't have to use stones.

    From Kaeko's LJ

getting hit with an enfeebling magic spell such as Blind, Bindga, or Sleep. The spell does not have to land successfully. Being hit by a spell such as Firaga or Bio that actually deals damage does not follow this rule. All enfeebles result in -80 CE each regardless of type, land rate, etc. If you have Utsu on and get hit with Sleep I, you lose -105 CE.

I know a similar question was asked a few pages ago but I wasn't able to answer mine from the answers given to said question.

What's the best place to FoV NIN/DNC @49? I just want to bring it up to 50 and I hate exping on it.

    Zi'Tah until ~54, then Xarcabard until ~61 then Ro'Maeve until ~65 then Teriggan until ~72 then Ru'Aun until 75!

I want an opinion here. If you had a member apply to dynamis and einherjar and they offered both MNK and PUP on their app, would you let them bring PUP to Einherjar? I don't mind so much for Dynamis, PUP is a versatile job which the player in question gears and plays well. We simply say, if you refuse to play a job for us in Dynamis, you don't get to lot on armour for that job and it covers it.

Assuming both jobs are equally well geared (good but not exceptional) would you ever let someone bring PUP over MNK to Einherjar? My reaction was pretty much 'no way' but I want to make sure I'm not being unreasonable and that my opinion on PUP isn't outdated.

Eh... I am usually the 100% pro-pup advocate, but I don't know if Einherjar is where it shines.

Automatons can do some serious damage but there's some prerequisites for if they can realistically be used and it usually involves not getting slammed around by damaging and enfeebling AoEs.

Both my Puppetmaster and Monk are pretty well-geared (sans relics/mythics) and Monk is almost always job for Einherjar as it is what is asked of me. I usually don't argue because trying to make Puppetmaster work against whatever random shit mobs can spawn in there can be way too much work, and probably yields about the same effectiveness as a decent Monk just punching shit.

    If you're /SAM:
OAT GA is D76, 498 Delay, 40% (supposedly) DA rate, 20% natural DA from Merits/Brutal, 6 Acc, 6 Atk = 52% DA (competitive)
Fortitude Axe is D64, 504 Delay, 50% DA rate, 22% DA from merits/brutal/pole = 39/51.4/19.6 (constructive, DA can proc on either swing of a stone proc, 4-hit rounds suppressed down to 3-hit rounds).

So Fortitude Axe attacks almost perfectly 2 times per round on average, while the Magian GA attacks (supposedly) 1.52 times. Fort Axe demolishes on DoT (13.9 vs. 15.3), and we'd expect it to have higher WS frequency because you swing more frequently. The WSs will be a little weaker (less than 16% weaker due to WS mods).

Yeah, I'd say Fort Axe wins or at least ties pretty much everywhere. The downside to multi-hits is that they feed TP like crazy, but if that's a concern you shouldn't be using either multi-hit GA really.
