Random Question Thread X: Fucking 99 Level Cap, How Does it Work?

I've never been impressed with monk's roll. In many standard setups it actually doesn't even do anything

MNK's have a natural 20%
Auspice is 10%
Rajas is 5%
Usu is 5% or AF2 is 4%
Black Belt is 5%
Hades Sainti is 7%

Cap is 50% and the above is all pretty standard and gives a MNK 51~52% subtle blow. When you just have monks on a chariot, monk's roll isn't even doing anything...

If you're that worried about TP moves, you probably only have monks on the mob. If you only have monks on it, they are probably already above 40% store TP gear. If you want a defensive roll give them dancer's or ninja's, otherwise you could just give them hunter's/chaos/samurai's whatever.

This would obviously be different if you had more than monks on a mob, but then chances are high TP attacks wouldn't be so important to reduce. Your standard /nin DD would have at least 25% SB: 10 from sub, 5 from Rajas, 10 from auspice. Were you to add Monk's Roll you would be already be overshooting the cap and it just seems like a waste of a roll.

it depends on point of view, some groups bring one rdm and brd+ cor, other bring rdm+ whm+brd. whats certain though is that bringing cor+whm, en hence 7 people, is retarded. Any set up of DD DD THF WHM RDM BRD or DD DD THF RDM COR WHM full clears easilly once they know what they do.

If you somehow have whm rdm cor and brd in pt i suuggest having both mnk sub war, or sam/war+ mnk/war, its... fun...

Is there any trick to soloing Skuld that I don't know of? Kill takes forever with just bio/poison and low dmg nukes when possible. Do I just suck or does he have a ton of MDB/T?

That's what my group did; whm, rdm, Cor, Brd(relic) war(relic) and drk(relic) and a thf mule. It made salvage boring

Magian gun with OAT blows the rest out of the water; assuming youre willing to fuel the insane amounts of ammo needed.

well i still not got the said emil from SE so if any1 who done a roll back msybe tell me whats up case the guy ask me what email i needed it sent to everything

Is there anything better than Kebbie for a Rdm to idle in when you're about to take magic damage? Nothing is jumping out as being better than MDB+5 from Kebbie except the magian sword.

ASA pants for RDM, but I'm also leveling WHM. Should I get PDT -4% and Cure Potency +5%? or Haste 3% Cure potency 5%?

I have been thinking I can just suck it up and use Goliard Pants for the -3% to gain 3% haste on cures.

Do you have movement speed on WHM? A lot of people go with Cure Potency and Move speed. Otherwise I'd probably go for -ENM and MP but if you're using for RDM I can see wanting HAste. I use Nashira for haste build on RDM.
