Trial 592: Sand Lizards in Quicksand Caves > Kuftal Tunnel > Cape Terrigan
Trial 593: Death Caps in The Boyahda Tree or Brasscaps in Grauberg
Trial 606: Moss Eaters in The Boyahda Tree
Trial 607: Lesser Colibri anywhere
Trial 608: Fallen Mage/Fallen Major in Garlaige Citadel
Trial 609: Meripo!
Would be my plan~
I'm not positive of a good Lizard camp in Quicksand Caves other than maybe Nussknacker/Diamond Daig area off the top of my head.
As an add-on to lizards for 592. I went to tower I-7 in Beaucedine to Pso'Xja. There's 11 lizards that you can kill taking a path from the beginning, then sorta sticking to the left hand wall for a while.
It requires you to go up and down a few lifts, but when you get the path, you pretty much teleport out down the bottom of the tower and come back in as the first lizard is respawning.
Is singing skill > wind instrument skill always?
If not ..
What level singing skill is optimal to aim for.
I haven't played Bard seriously in a long time, but I always figured go for Wind, and if you're all out of Wind, go for Singing.
As far as buff potency and debuff accuracy are concerned, Singing/Wind/String contribute equally, but Singing applies to both instrument types.
How to I change the font size on FFXI? I'm trying to sit about 15" from my TV and still be able to see the text. I'm a windower noob. I'm also trying to set the X and Y values on the plugs if anyone has some tips there.
I **think** you would need to edit your background resolution in order to make font more readable...
Minuet caps at 456 skill for +56 attack, which requires 12 skill and is the skill cap. Instrument and merits can give it another 5 each for a super maximum of +66 attack.
Blade Madrigal looks like it has a much higher skill cap, possibly capping at +30 accuracy with 508 skill (+58 ), which looks to be around ~18 skill tiers, +29 skill at 490, +28 at 472, +27 at 454.
Victory march doesn't appear to have a cap at the moment and increases about ~0.1% haste per 6 skill, so 450 skill gives you 10.25% haste, a moderate player with +66 skill has 11.23%, and a super max merited/relic +118 gives 11.91%.
There really isn't much difference between singing, string, and wind skill, it just happens that your buffs typically use wind instruments. It's pretty easy to get at least 50 skill, harder to hit the pre-relic cap of 66. AF+1 gloves (10), AF+1 legs (8 ), torque (7), earrings (6-8 ), chanter's staff (4), minstrel's (3), oracle feet (5), and neried rings (6). Harder pieces would be marduk's hat (7), marching belt (3), and sea cape (5).
Singing/wind merits basically add 0.5% haste to your victory march.
Can someone point me at a decent post/guide/blog discussion of PLD/RDM?
I'm getting into this whole RDM/NIN tanking thing, and I'm curious to what I'd be looking for in terms of sets from now on.
PDT, MDT, Enmity with capped recast, Stoneskin with fast cast and max potency, utsu with capped recast and as much pdt as possible, spell interrupt 102 build. After that, it is just making the windower/spellcast macros and being good at the job.
Dyna Windy, what's the best way to go about getting the Toraimarai Canal TE (101 on wiki map) when taking the clockwise path?
What's the best place to farm giant bird plumes? Diatryma in Misreaux Coast is slow and Abraxas there are too hard for me to kill BLM/THF. Haven't tried VOS yet cause I was worried it was crowded from FOV.
So, the secret to the 90s in any craft is to tier zero synth on cap using support and plus one items. Level gold and leather sub crafts, get support, and make errant bodies until you cap. You can spread it out among tier zeros, but once you hit 90 in most crafts you can start skilling up on synths that 100+6s do for profit with the same hq rate as them. If it is profit for them, it is profit for you, and you do not need to be level 100 to make Gil tier 0 synthing 96-100 stuff.
