ah you're talking about merits. i was following the arguement from the previous page, about a COR gimping his way through exp.
We are talking about taking COR to 75, not cor AT 75.
Seems to me he is saying a COR should DD, but you are dumb if you think its really going to make a difference anyways so why bother.
But like I said, if you really dont want to spend gil to DD, should at least sub mage so you are doing more than standing around.
Taken on their own, last resort recast will be a bigger increase in damage than last resort effect (even assuming you have 3/5 desperate blows and are stuck /nin). How much damage souleater recast will add is very heavily dependant on what kind of play style your events and support allow. But taking the combinations into consideration, it can be better to not do LR recast in order to make LR and SE have equal timers.
If you are generally able to ride souleater, I would actually go souleater and last resort effect so that your timers line up and you can always get 30 seconds of extra hasted souleater in. The worse your support is, the less useful souleater recast becomes. If all you can do is toss out a single souleater WS every 6 mins, making that every 5 mins is only adding like ~8500 damage per hour. In that case you should do last resort recast for sure, and then LR effect vs souleater recast will depend on how much that 10% attack will help you.
Could someone show a gear build for Blade:Jin and Blade:Kamu?
Voucher 06 is the best, it has the most marbles and is an easy clear in 15 minutes or less. I do a 59 marble maze (with Shortcut and Stillness to make it really easy for only -4 marbles).
Maps and stuff (map dat mod coming soon):

How is it possible that my point was still misconstrued after so much clarification?
Point #1: As a corsair making your way to level 75, you should be dealing damage every opportunity you get.
Point #2: The difference between your standard melee-COR and the COR in question, should he choose to simply spend all of his time pulling, sleeping, dispelling, and buffing, will be absolutely undetectable before he hits the 70's.
Point #3: Anyone who's prepared to throw a shit-fit over a level 63 COR not participating in the party's damage output should also do so any time they see a bard in their merit parties doing the same, because at each respective point in the game, their capacity for damage is essentially identical(and just because this will be misread, I'm saying that a 63 COR's damage is going to do to an EXP party's productivity what a 75 BRD's damage is going to do to a merit party's productivity).
Point #4: The COR in question is an infinitely better player than most of you will ever be, and I can tell you from hefty experience with him that your idiotic, baseless comments are not going to change his mind. Answer he questions, or ->
Edit: And slightly off-topic, but why is it that whenever someone agrees with a person that they know, its considered "sucking their dick", "riding their dick", or some other variation of dick-fiddling? Really, grow the fuck up.
Edit2.0: Isla, considering you're probably about to blow up this thread, would you mind at least leaving this post in tact?
katana1/katana2/--/bomblet
srkabuto/gorget/triumph/brutal
hauby+1/enkidu/rajas/sniper+1
cuch/warwolf/haidate/denali
is what i currently use...upgrades to that are maat's, orchelm or salade, af+1 hands, usu feet and i'm sure there's something else i'm forgetting
Don't use kamu. If you absolutely have to this is what I have for it.
katana1/katana2/--/bombcore
srkabuto/gorget/triumph/brutal
osode/alky/rajas/flame
forager's/warwolf/haidate/denali
usu legs would be better for that if it's available to you, so would maat's.
Classes are what people make them.
-Bard's dagger skill is identical to corsair's sword skill
-Bard has access to most of the best daggers in the game
-Bard has access to significantly better DD equipment
-Bard has access to significantly more haste
-Bard has a powerful piercing weapon skill
but cor gets away with getting to ws with marks, not sword!
A corsair's sword skill matters infinitely more than their marksmanship. Racc is stupidly easy to cap with Martial Gun/food/equipment, so you're looking at an additional 9 Rattk as the sole reason COR is an accepted DD and BRD is not?
Edit: Bard is also one of the few jobs capable of capping dDEX against colibri during Evisceration, which is essentially the biggest boost in its damage possible
#3, no. a BRD cannot keep up their 4 songs and deal 1/3 the dmg of a pimp DD, sorry. i understand you don't want to backtrack since being wrong on the internet must be an embarrasement to you, so feel free to keep digging.
unless of course, adding about 10% damage is nothing to productivity.
i'm all for the increased effiency that bg is all about these days. so it's pretty surprising to see one of the pickiest people spouting such bullshit.
No shit, we're talking about a gun, bullets, possibly Slug Shots, and elemental shots, not Wasp Stings and Spirits Withins. We are ALSO not talking about merit PTs, where people have access to shit like Evisceration, Mordant Rime, and Leaden Salute.
Also, Byakko's Haidate and an assortment of Harnesses isn't exactly "better DD equipment."
So, kappy. Vorpal blade or w/e the fk dagger has to offer?
It doesn't make much sense to leech in traditional experience parties as a COR, just rolling and pulling, unless you have enough damage output to the point where you only have time to roll and pull. In some fashion, the experience/hour of the party is going to be affected by the effort you expend. It may not make or break a party, but whether it's worth it or not is going to depend a lot (too much, in my estimation) on the others in the party.
