Also B.D. Wong is epic
Yeah, there's no way Neal actually got dropped. She was great at her role.
She was good in the third season episode she first appeared in too. The one with all those girls who were into choking themselves during masturbation and other freaky stuff. Surprised more people don't remember Alex prosecuting her before she became the ADA.
Are you nuts? Her character was awful, she lost like, fucking non stop over stupid shit, the best thing she ever did on the show was this.
When I watched that live, I burst out laughing. Appearently alot of people did. Check out Televisionwithoutpity.com's forums imo, they have pretty decent ones for Law and Order, all done by episode and shit.
Meh, I felt like she played her role as an ADA well enough. Better than Sharon Stone or the others they had besides Alex because she is god tier.
Generally I find positive reactions of people I know who watch the show, surprised to find some negative views of her actually!
The only things she really did were flirting with Chester after she had won a case I believe, but everyone lets their guard down at some point I suppose.
Didn't she actually have a pretty high case win rate? I swore I remember her boss at the time making a comment about it in open court near the end of her career I believe. I will try to find it.
Oh, and fucking with Elliot right before McCoy yelled at her for a possible firing/disbarring. That was uncool.Nonetheless, Novak has a 71% success rate in the cases she prosecutes, whereas the average for prosecutors is 44%, as stated in season eight episode, "Haystack".
Then we must see an awful lot of the 29% She was always getting shit thrown out, or bugging Judith Light for some stupid shit, and getting chewed out because she fucked up. A lot of the fans called her "Lurch" for how she dressed/did shit during trial lol.
the episodes with Judith Light are pretty good imo, I really like her character. I agree that despite how her character wins/loses, the problem with Novak lies in Diane Neall's skill as an actress (this is someone who's biggest other role besides SVU are the AWFUL dracula movies), but she gets the job done. Still, she can't hold a candle to Cabot, who I felt had a much more believable rapport with the SVU detectives.
Also NO ONE is as bad as Greyleck, god damn she was fucking terrible. I actually really liked Christine Lahti as Sonia whatever, despite the fact that her character was a bitch, other than her last episode (the one where she was drunk in court prosecuting a drunk driver lol) she did a good job playing the part.
I have a sneaking suspicion Stephanie March will rejoin the cast full time, fans really like her a lot and she had a really long run for just a "guest star" this season. At least, I hope she does anyway. Maybe they can get Alana De La Garza now that Law & Order is over, I doubt it but it would be awesome.
Oh, yes Sonya did a great job as an actress. I just wanted to smack her for being such a ruthless bitch(As in she was to everyone, not just to perps), so she did a great job in that aspect of her character portrayal!
also I haven't even attempted to watch Criminal Intent since it moved to USA, much less since they got rid of the entire fucking cast.
Does anyone know somewhere I can watch the entire 1st (and only) season of Trial By Jury online? It's got Bebe Neuwirth and Kirk Acevedo!
edit: ope nvm, here it is in case anyone else wants to watch

Alex > Casey > anyone else they had do ADA
LOL I remember that episode, Ice-T is fucking great. Then there was that shit with his son & Ludacris, did that ever get resolved? I know he Ludacris was in that amazing season finale with Steven Weber, and then did this whole ILL BE BACK thing but to my knowledge he hasn't been on the show since then.
Lmao.. I remember that. The way Elliot looks at Fin before the scenes switch is absolutely priceless.
Interesting little bump pertaining to an SVU character, figured I'd post it for anyone interested.

Makes me want to watch the show! Loved the cameo's Lennie did in the first season of svu etc. So I am sure these cameo's will be just as entertaining.
Oh, and apparently that rumor about Meloni leaving isn't true. He said the interviewer misconstrued what he said, and he will continue to do the show as long as long as the contract for it gets renewed. Somewhat old news but figured I'd clear it up for anyone who didn't know!
Slight spoiler for the upcoming season if anyone is interested.
