    Iphone water damage

Washed my phone and it quit working obviously but I tried to see if my sim would work in another phone and now that phone wont go past the apple logo when you first turn on an iphone. Did i just break another phone or is there someway to get the second phone to come on?

your sim card only works w/ that specific Iphone. U need to take it in to get resync'd if u want to use it in another

That's incorrect. The sim card doesn't need to resync'd to the iphone. I don't know what the problem is but I know that isn't it. I know this because I had three iphone at one point and was able to use them all just fine when I switched out the sim card.

if you didnt attempt to turn on your iphone after giving it a nice 30 minute soak, I suggest you take out the battery, and leave it out to dry, give it a day or two, it should work after that, I've washed my PSP, generic phone, and Nintendo DS and the only one of the three that died was my DS because I couldn't take the battery out.

    Hes kinda true...........

Iphone 3gs/Iphone 3g sim cards do not work in original 2g iphones......... because they are the "3g" sim cards from at&t. Otherwise, you are correct

My wife washed my iphone a few months ago. It wouldn't turn on or anything. She put it in a bowl of uncooked rice and after about 3-4 days we heard it make a high pitched squeal and it turned on. For about a week or so you could see some moisture behind the screen, but that eventually went away, and the phone has been working fine since.

This is incorrect. at&t 3G SIM cards work on 2G Apple iPhones (or any at&t branded phone for that matter).

On Topic: Is the second iPhone you are trying to use a 2G or a 3G(or 3G S)? If it is a 2G you need to sync it with iTunes each time you use a new SIM on the phone. However, you said it's getting stuck on the apple logo screen, which makes me think there is something wrong with the phone itself (it should be going to the sync with itunes screen not stay in the apple logo screen). You can just restore it and wipe everything in it by turning it off, connecting it to itunes and holding down the home screen button while it's coming on, which will force the phone to go into restore mode and reinstall the latest firmware/software into the phone (3.2.something).

Flushing your electronics with rubbing alcohol can also help dry them out faster and prevent rust from forming and shorting them out. Assuming you disconnect the power source first.

The warranty is already gonna be voided by water damage; there's no harm in opening it.
