Hardwood (if real) can even be harder to deal with if it is indeed the problem. Reason why is, the urine will go in between the cracks, and even sometimes under the baseboard. Your only choice then is to use a steamer, or hardwood-safe cleaners which have enzymes to penetrate the ammonia.
On the other hand if its fake laminate like ours. Then you can simply use something like "Out! Oxy for Pets", or something of the sort. They're all the same, except the smell.
Yeah we have the Oxy Pet stuff but I've never really tried using it on hardwood... maybe I'll give it a try.
