I can never get her Taunt loop down in training mode, let alone online. Sucks as it kills a shitload of damage potential.
(and assuming it doesn't get the nerf in the balance patch down the road for the crazy folks who can land it 90% of the time)

Anyways, story mode, with Jin, how the fuck am I supposed to beat Ragna/Tsubaki with only A & B attacks? I can't even get Ragna below 50%.

[EDIT] Note to self, always save a burst for Arakune. Some jp just did a 7500dmg combo on me, somehow managed to still win though. How the frig do you get rid of Arakune's curse in CS anyway? It didn't wear even after I did a 2500dmg combo. Only let up once I bursted.

If you get cursed, you just have to wait out Arakune's attacks, or keep him distracted/blocking long enough so he can't attack back. It isn't like CT where hitting him gets rid of the curse. But on the bright side, you need to get hit with quite a few attacks to get cursed.

I set the difficulty to beginner and just dashed forward, smacked him with a 6B, did a backstep, rinse, wash, repeat, etc until he was beaten. Those are probably two of the worst fights in story mode, the only one that's arguably worse is Ragna vs. Hazama when you can't use any moves that involve his sword, D or C.

Well shit, I completely forgot about being able to set the difficulty. It's on hell atm, no wonder I've been having trouble with some fights on Noel's story as well.

Yeah, I got fed up with doing it on Hard after like.. two full character scenarios, so I tried setting it to Beginner to see if I could blaze through it, and ended up clearing true end and everything within like.. 15-20 hours? ish?

I imagine it has to be changeable, since I know I'm not good enough where I'd breeze through it where you guys were struggling, lol.

Look at his curse bar above his heat meter. It starts when the green bar fills up, and ends when the purple bar empties. Curse lasts about 16 seconds from beginning to end. If you're comboing him during curse, it slows down by 3/4. Bursting against Arakune is best done before you get curse, a typical combo is airthrow into full curse. The first loop usually does the most damage(3-4k), so if you burst and he lands another hit, it's another 3-6k. If you have to burst, burst during when he's doing the spinning pinwheel in midair. That's the only time he's vulnerable, rest of the time he is just moving your body into bugs.

Are gates on a stick hard to install?

When I go to order my replacement parts for my SE4 SE (8 sanwa buttons + stick), I'm thinking of grabbing an octo gate on the side to try it out. I've been having a shitload of problems doing quarter-circles where back/forward are being missed, but I'm not sure if that's to do with my motion, or the stick itself.

Also, whoever did the Arakune challenges need to go DIAF, those cursed-related ones are so fucking hard to buffer the button-releases for, and I gave up shortly after. I'm getting close to the 50% point on the challenges, where I'll stop at that for awhile and wait for DLC characters. I'm working on that 100% gallery trophy currently. Getting tired of hearing HOW CAN HOW HOW CAN HOW CAN THIS BEEEEEEE!

I have the SF TE stick and i just changed the gate to octo and the ball-stick to a bat-stick and it was really easy to do.

Probably going to download Makoto soon enough. I think I'm sticking with Litchi as my main like she was in CT but if Makoto plays better for me I might change to her.

So, is anyone else having a problem playing this game online? I feel like no matter how "good" my connection is with my opponent, the lag makes it unplayable. I was told 4 was the best but even my 4 connections seem to suck.

And this is strange cause I distinctly remember CT online being absolutely fine.

Yeah, I had no issues with CT online, but for some reason I have a lot of issues with CS's online mode. It's not every fight, but I've been in a lot of 3+ connection matches that have lagged and chugged to all holy hell.

Yo dawg, we made a sequel to your sequel so you could sequel while you sequeled -- ahem, sorry, we couldn't help ourselves. Andriasang reports that Aksys Games has announced the next entry in the BlazBlue series for Japanese arcades, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2. The new arcade game will debut at the Amusement Machine Show on September 9.

The game will launch in Japanese arcades this winter and (so far) adds one new character, Valkenhayn R Hellsing. He was recently announced as the second DLC character for the home console versions of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift and has been priced at ¥800 (560 Microsoft Points) in Japan. We suspect his price tag here will be the same, especially since Makoto, the first announced DLC character for CS, is priced accordingly.

Ouch, I hope they offer an 'upgrade' plan for arcade owners that have CS already, as buying a whole new unit full price for two DLC characters is a bit much. I would have expected they'd do a revision of the arcade kits when all 3 characters were out though, or better yet have them be patchable like the console copies are.

I already own four different copies of guilty gear for my ps2. I'm not going down this road again with you, AkSys. See you when you're finally done with BB: CS ## Isuka Core
