Look at the bright side, you don't play Tager. He's been consistently terrible the in the entire series so far.
Probably going to try to put more time into Makoto, that's the closest to Ragna's previous playstyle and it doesn't seem like she got hit with anything too bad. A lot of Ragna players are saying they like it more now, but they're much better players than I am and I kind of needed that safety net of knowing I could just improvise after landing 5D. Going to see if I can adjust to how he is now but it definitely plays to all of my weaknesses, hj cancels and tiger-knee'ing his Hades Gauntlet. When I'm working again I want to get ahold of one of those madkatz sticks and swap the buttons/gate out and try to get used to that instead of the 360 controller.
Loving Tsubaki's playstyle. She feels very "MVC3"-ish to me. Most combos revolve around a ground series to a launcher to an air combo. This coupled with the fact that her damage and speed is improved over the original, along with those annoying as hell JC combos off of 6C~C, and you have an amazingly awesome and fun character. Speaking of 6C~C, I'm actually sad that you can't combo in anymore outside of a wall bounce.
Tried playing Litchi last night again and her entire game seems to revolve around j.BCB, JC, j.BCB, HatsuChun and the various ways to combo into it. It isn't so bad but I miss my old loops. I'm gonna have to keep her on the back burner as learning to do her new corner loops look like it's gonna take weeks of practice, just like the old ones.
So is CS2 unavailable on PS3 until the PS store comes back, or is there some way to download the patch otherwise? Was planning on picking this up this weekend, but I'll hold off if I'm stuck with vanilla.
I believe both the CS2 patch and Platinum should both be up on PSN.
I'll be on XBL for a few chunks today from like 2-5 CST and maybe a bit later at night if anyone wants to spar. Still having a rough time getting a full handle on new Ragna but it's coming along.
Gotcha, according to ASW Plat was ready to go on the 12th, so should be set whenever it comes back up. I haven't turned my PS3 on in over a month lol, glad I have the game on 360 this time around.
Playing ranked matches for the first time ever, lots of Plats who don't know how to use her yet and this Tager guy who refuses to fight me, not sure if it's because I'm Ragna or because I'm like rank 0.4, or both lol
So, hasn't really been stated how they got them back, but Arc System Works got back the rights to the Guilty Gear franchise, so hopefully that means Guilty Gear lite is over with and they can get back to making the real thing :X
I've noticed that BB sure gets a lot of hate. :s Seriously tho, what's so bad about it? (Not specific to Krandor). The only thing I really dislike about it is tech rolling off of a knockdown.
If anyone is interested in playing on XBL later tonight or tomorrow, I'm up for some games.
My 360 just bricked last week, but as soon as I have it replaced in a couple of weeks I definitely want to get some in, adjusting to the CS2 changes is a bit rough but the balance seems good.
Edit: I also don't really understand why so many people dislike this game. I'm not huge into fighting games, and the ones I do like are 2D only, but I think this series is much better than SF(outside of maybe SF3:3S). I was playing SF2 HD Remix, even sped up it was slow as hell, and rounds were over after 4-5 regular hits. I know some people dislike that BB has several gimmicky characters, but at least every character is rather unique from the rest of the cast, instead of having 6 base character styles with 5 clones each filling out a giant roster. BB Story Mode absolutely obliterates any other 'story' deal in any other fighting game, hands down.
All that aside, the music alone should draw people, BB has the most ass-kicking soundtrack ever put on a videogame.
clearly, makes it so non-leet people can play it
I'd rather take that buffer then stupid shit like just-frames.
The frame buffer also makes it very playable online even against shit connections, which I'm assuming was the main intention for it.
