Extend formally announced for consoles: http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/201...360_announced/
Main notes:
I've also been seeing people saying that it's been confirmed as a disc release, but not ruled out as both disc/download a la SSF4:AE. New story mode and online team matches both sound fun, I still have no idea what Abyss mode is.The big new feature for Extend is the inclusion of Relius as a playable fighter. Other updates include:
- New rules for online play, including 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and 2 on 4 battles
- Updated Abyss mode
- Improved key recording in training mode
- The high difficulty 10 stage Unlimited Mars mode from the arcade version
- Inclusion of all the paid Continuum Shift download content
- Four new scenarios for story mode
- Inclusion of a refined version of BlazBlue Calamity Trigger's story mode, with all new voice acting
The PS3 and Vita versions will be able to share save data for their story modes. Arc hasn't said if the two versions will support cross platform play, although the producers have said that this is something they'd like to do if possible.
Less BB rehash more announcing a new GG.
A new GG isn't coming until the third BB game is cranked out, so you should be cheering on their releases, lol.

Sorry BlazBlue Fans, Continuum Shift Extend Will Not Be Released As A DLC Upgrade
I skipped on shift...so I'll just buy extend then.If you want to play BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend (or any BlazBlue for that matter!) on PlayStation Vita you have to buy the game on a Vita cart. Arc System Works already released BlazBlue: Continuum Shift for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. So, will you be able to upgrade?
The answer from BlazBlue series producer Toshimichi Mori is no. You won’t be able to purchase downloadable content to turn Continuum Shift into Continuum Shift Extend.
Mori also explained to Siliconera each version has its own online modes and are not compatible with each other. Similar to Super Street Fighter IV, you won’t be able to fight someone who owns BlazBlue: Continuum Shift if you own BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend.
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend will come out for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on December 17. Development originally started for Vita, but Mori felt like fans on consoles shouldn’t miss out on the new scenarios and began development on a console version too.
Well fuck you too Arc.
Arc looks like they're being ran by monkeys at this point.
Sometimes things cost money. QQ more.
No really, just stop this BlazBlue bullshit altogether and just make a new "definitive" Guilty Gear. They probably lost 80% of it's player-base with it's retarded tier-shifting going from CT to CS which scared away the crap out of everyone who knows anything about Arc System Works. People hate on Capcom but Arc has always been infinitely worse at this.
inb4 BlazBlue: CSII Extend Reloadx2 #^ Isuka.

Well fuck...guess I should start working on platinum now. So damn rusty :/
Except the generation before where Guilty Gear X/XX iterations totaled at the very least 10+ versions dealing with character re-balance. Where as in SFIII sat on 3S for 10+ years. Like I said, Arc has a ridiculously worse track record then Capcom so it's no surprise the scene is as it is today.
Huh? Not sure what you're getting at here, there was DLC in the PS2 era? Arc sure as hell didn't care to ask players to pay for a new iteration then with each new disc based version every few months.
Point stands, Arc is and always will be worse then Capcom when it comes to this. But that's not even what I'm mad about, as an avid GG player from back in day, for fucks sake I mained Baiken, at least cut the bullshit and make a fighter everyone wants to play if you're going to alienate so many with this Extend nonsense.
Last generation, SF3's relases on the DC were a year apart (all two of them, but there you have it). Last generation, GG's home versions were a year apart. Show me your data supporting just how much worse Aksys was than Capcom at pushing out full price SKUs for their fighting games to squeeze consumers for their hard earned money.
Why bother when it's just another troll on the Gaming forums posting JP shit they think is awesome when they don't even play the freaking game.
EDIT: Shit seems especially prevalent in fighting game threads where neither troll wants to show their obliviousness on blast. Just want to post the latest shit they see on Shoryuken.com.
Hey HK, if they ever make an accent core online edition, we need to play. Lol i still have my touch w/ May after all these years, loop setups and all.
That would be some sick shit lol. May/Baiken as far as I remember was always 5/5.
If they would make a new GG or release an older one with online play, it would be on like donkey kong.
