Can't help it.
Can't help it.
I get the joke, but would agree that it's basically only able to be a joke if you're completely ignorant of the platform. The mouse pictured is an ADB mouse. The last machine that could actually use it was made in 1999.
Steam for Mac's basic requirement is an Intel based Mac. Those all include either a Mighty Mouse, or a multi-touch capable trackpad, both solutions allow for right click functionality. Granted, cludgy, sucky, holy-crap-where's-that-Logitech functionality, but it's there.
But, hey, sure, "dur hur, Macz only haz one button lolololol".
This Steam for Mac thing is pretty awesome, I wasn't expecting literally "free" versions of my PC library.
Hearts of Iron 3, Europa Universalis 3, FM 2010, Portal...and Civ IV I think?
And soon, Half Life and more. AFAIK they'll be adding a new OS X offer every Wed.
Goddamn, learn to take a joke Mrs. panties in a wad.
Sweet, thanks for the info.
I haven't played portal since the orange box first came out. Have there been any content updates/good player made maps/etc?
Mac users = God tier Pyros.

NOT ANYMORE, GOD DAMN IT VALVE I WANT TO W+M1.

I wouldn't recommend Prelude at all. Was pretty fucking terrible imo. Haven't played the Flash Map Pack though, might give it a shot later.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but meh.
I downloaded Portal but it's frustrating to play because my mouse cursor won't show. The crosshair in game appears, but the cursor for menus and to start the game etc don't. Anyone know a fix?
so if i played the XBLA version of portal but not the PC version should i bother with this at all? is there any hidden awesomeness in the PC version i don't know about?
Looks like Valve has some work to do in the OpenGL optimization department: http://www.anandtech.com/show/3726/q...al-performance
If I had the bandwidth to redownload Portal for OSX I'd do a comparison myself (given I already have Portal installed on my Windows partition), but as I don't even have the basic Source engine file packs (running 3-4gb themself) I'll have to pass for now.
Going to be a bitch formatting my Mac though so I can resize the partitions since my OSX side is getting full. 150gb drive (yes I know that's tiny) split 50/50 for Mac/Win because of Steam when I bought this thing a couple years back, but since all the shit I have installed on Steam is being ported over, I have no need to give it the full 75gb.
(probably resizing my bootcamp partition to at most 30-40gb if only for ME1/2)
Guess I no longer have a reason to NOT have steam on my computer. Yay for free Portal and companion cube <3
