    Reactivation VBV Question

If this topic is in the wrong area please move it to the right one I looked in all FF11 areas and couldn't find a proper area for this.

So I tried to reactivate over the phone since I do not have a PS2, or a Xbox and don't have a VBV credit card. So they said I need to wait for someone to call me back from billing department since I owed past due fees and since I did not have a VBV card they could not help me right there. So my question is this normal and if so does anyone have a number I can call them directly? So I don't have to wait however long it takes for them to get to me. They never even quoted on how long he just said it could take couple days and couldn't even tell me how much I owed.

How would anyone have a past due balance? I would just call back, sounds like he/she didn't know how to help you, and that was his/her way out.

And I would say this would probably be best in the random question thread, you know the place for random questions like this.

@biggie: the outstanding charge is the bill for the upcoming month, as well as a small "delinquency" fee. I think.

This has happened to me. My suggestion is to actually completely ignore their shit for now and work around it. Go to your local Chase branch and buy one of those prepaid visa gift cards, and put like fifty dorra on it or however much you think will cover what you owe them. SE accepts those prepaid cards. If you enter the card info in, it will charge the remaining fees onto the card, which will make negotiating with SE much easier. As long as you don't owe remaining fees, they won't give you so much shit about putting a non-3d card onto the account.

    Hope this helps.

Just a heads up on the pre-paid cards if you end up having to go that route. I got a pre-paid Visa from Walmart for a recent holiday gift from my gfs parents. I activated it online only to discover if you don't use the entire balance in 7 days and deactivate the card you will be charged 3$ per month. Pretty stupid, all I wanted to do was use the $25 and instead went through a 10 minute activation process that collected way too much of my personal information, had a "personalized card" sent to me which I tried to call the 1800 number to decline, and had to call back after spending the $25 to deactivate it so I wouldn't get hit with the monthly fee.

I assume the $3 a month is worth it if you're going to be using it for a long time, or you're a parent constantly reloading it with money for a kid at college or something, but it was fucking annoying simply wanting to spend the $25. Just don't want to see you put $12.95 on it then have insufficient funds because it ate $3 lol.

It is definitely not a permanent solution, just something to get the charged fees off your account so SE can actually do something with it. I never had any issues like that though, or monthly fees. It was actually a very clean and nice process. Maybe because mine came from a bank? idk

btw: when I used the prepaid visa to reactivate my account, I didn't have to use the verified by visa site ahead of time or anything. Same goes for my chase account that I ended up using to pay long-term. Beats me why, the system is clearly deeply weird.

Ya could be because it came from a bank, mine was from wal mart so I'm not shocked they wanted to make a few bucks off it.

I used a perpaid visa card from walmart, the reloadable ones at the register. The ones they charge you 3$ to reload every time you do. It works with VBV.

I just had this issue, and just had it resolved. So, my suggestion:

When you have fees like that, you can request to have those pushed off to the end of the month. They are wiling to let you put a non VBV card on the account, if you work with them, but overdue/delinquency fees MUST be paid with a VBV card.

What I did- you can request to have those fees 'deferred' to the end of the month / later / whatever. Then you can put whatever card you like on the account- call customer service or whatnot and they should be able to let you use whatever card you want, VBV or not, if you're nice with them. Then, by the time billing comes around, they'll probably just charge you on whatever card you have on the account- or you'll have to find a VBV card by then.

    Good luck
