you study RLS in med school first year as an example of a fake disease :D
Regardless of if you think RLS is real or not there is something that you can have that causes the symptoms of RLS. I am not saying that RLS is real or that it needs medicine.
I know that both my mom and I experience a constant never going away need to twitch. It isn't a regular rhythmic bouncing of your leg up and down and it isn't pacing back and forth. It is more like I can sit still for 30 seconds and then my legs will randomly twitch and then be still again for a while. If I consciously try to not move it gets worse and worse until I move even just a little bit shift my weight or lean to one side.
I constantly have a sensation in the back of my leg in the crook of my knee like something is tickling me there like a tingling sensation or crawling sensation under my skin. If I try to not move the sensation can grow down my calves and up my thighs.
Reading this thread people have no idea what they are talking about saying it happens when they are tired or at specific times. It NEVER goes away. The sensation is there 24/7. You are right if it comes and goes then your just fucking tired and you need to rest.
Usually when I search the internet for help I always end up thinking I have cancer.

sure is Maxtm in here
my brothers wife has this.she can just be either sitting there and her leg will twitch without her even knowing it. she takes some kinda meds to help with it. my brother says it gets worse when she is asleep and doesn't have her meds. says she twitches all night long in the bed. shes told me about it b4, said it was more annoying than anything else, but half the time she didnt notice it. my brother said he likes her on this medication cause she has one of the rarer side effects of hypersexuality. probably the reason she got knocked up so quick after they got married.
I have RPS....in my pants.
If you think RLS is fake you're a fucking moron. What many people are describing is just their leg getting a minor cramp once in awhile and calling it RLS.
As someone who does have this, it is infact really fucking difficult.
Try going through life being unable to sit-down for more than 10 minutes without feeling extremely uncomfortable, ever tried attending school like that? standing up in all your classes, constantly shifting, using the wall instead of your desk, annoying everyone around you.
Just because Big-Pharma marketed a bullshit drug for it with vague symptoms doesn't mean the condition doesn't exist. It's like the morons who think ADHD is fake just because adderal is over-prescribed(which it is), then you meet someone who *really* has it and go WTF? get help!

he's not going to stop until there's a restless leg syndrome awareness march
(all marchers are forced to participate against their will)
I'm sorry, you're not in a position to attempt the "I was just trollin!!1" defense, Mr. I Posted A Completely Serious Reply Stating I Subscribe To The Idea of Restless Leg Syndrome As A Legitimate Disease Before The Thread Got Derailed.
