    Gargoyles

Anyone watch Gargoyles (TV Animated Series) growing up?

I saw an episode two nights ago while chilling with some friends, and watched Season 1 back in the day...but, the story is much deeper/interesting than I remembered. Anyone happen to have an episode guide/synopses that can get me through the storyline? I can't really invest in 36 hours or so of watching the show (plus nostalgia shows are often ruined if you watch them now).

(Nvm @ synopses, think I found them at http://www.gargoyles-fans.org/reviews/)

Here's a fan site that Greg Weismen(the shows creator) frequents, answering questions and talks about some of the (no where near the full list, missing a lot of his newer stuff, W.I.T.C.H., Spectacular Spider man and the upcoming Young Justice)other stuff he has worked on, or is currently working on.

On a side note, Season 3 sucks(Greg didn't work on it) and there's is a comic book series(and a spin off) that continues the story after the end of season 2(first one is The Journey, the only S3 episode Greg actually worked on).

I absolutely loved this show growing up, and I still love it now (I'm 29) It was the first cartoon I watched that I really cared about characters and all. I know some earlier cartoons (Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats etc) had arcing storylines but Gargoyles was also the first one I watched where I was really impressed with. I have the first 2 releases on DVD, but they never continued with it because they didn't sell well. I think I'll actually look for a torrent of it today.

This show was strangely mature for the age group it targeted but it was pretty badass. It has also aged pretty well compared other series of the same period.

This and 90's Spiderman were win.

In the "got up early to watch this" group. Also when the Disney channel first came to my area, they had episodes of Gargoyles on for like two hours every night around 7 or 8. It completely trumped all of the trash on that channel now.

A lot of stuff in the 90's was like that. I used to watch this and loved it, I'm 24 now and occasionally see the stuff kids are watching these days... fuckin garbage!

    high-five!

This thread also reminded me of BeastWars, Exo-Squad, and lolStreetSharks

See i think the same way in the sense, watching the shit that is marketed for kid is shit. I'm not sure if i'm just getting old (24) and i "Don't get it" or they think kids are just too easy and don't need any depth in their programing anymore. Not that there was a lot of depth in some of the shows back in my day but it wasn't complete shit.

One of my favorite animated series. I've seen every episode except fillers but missed most of the comics between the original series and Goliath Chronicles.
One of my favorite episodes was when Oberon went to claim Fox's baby because it inherited traits from Titania's bloodline. I initially thought it was pretty mediocre until...

    !!Warning!! Massive Spoiler!!

    Spoiler: show
Owen ended up revealing that he was puck.

...It just shows how much attention to detail the writers invested into the story to avoid any other contradictions in the main plot.

haha I don't rememeber the storyline at all, but I remember loving it. I do greatly miss quality cartoons of the 90s though.

    Spoiler: show
don't miss the new kids on the block cartoon
