wireless for desktop

since my aunts house has a distinct lack of ethernet ports it's looking like i'm going to need to purchase either a card or external wireless adapter for my desktop. I would like to keep it relatively cheap but also be reliable any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also,random, is it possible to hook up my 360 to my computer monitor?

If it's DMI I don't know, maybe by using a DMI>VGA converter.

As for the wireless card...

Anything will do if there is no special need like shitty signal / lots of walls. I have a noname one and it works flawlessly.

Models with external Antenna will give better signals.

For the wifi adapter, I strongly recommend getting a pci one if you have the available space. I've had horrible experiences with usb adapters in the past
