Xanax is the only correct answer
Xanax is the only correct answer
More stressed not being in school :\ stress going up because of laziness without school work D:
This reminds me of a complete fucking psycho girl that told me once that antidepressants are for weak people that can't handle their problems.
Then she bawwed at a party in front of dozens of people about how "nobody's ever fucked me the way you do" because I didn't want to have an actual relationship, when we "hooked up" by me picking her up to sell her a sack and her going "so do you wanna fuck or what?"
Scream Therapy :D just yell until you feel better, that or sex/masturbation.
I don't stress out almost ever. It is a very rare thing for me, but I just don't let things stress me out. I have very good control over my emotions and can keep pretty calm in almost any situation that stresses most others out. And saying stress doesn't exist is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever heard. I do believe it is controllable in most cases but to say there is no such thing? WTF man.
Reading about all these stressed people is stressing me out.

Best remedy.
Trust me. Try it and you'll know.
Just grind your teeth in your sleep and ignore stress while your awake like all the cool people.
My girlfriend is in Moscow for the two weeks I have finals, which is rough. Not only do I miss her like crazy, but shes not around to calm me down (either by sex or just helping take my mind off shit)... so I've resorted to my normal routine.
Put everything off until the very last minute, which means I freak the fuck out tonight... but it's only a ~24hr total mindfuck, instead of an extended stress period. Speaking of which, its 7:30pm and I have to write 2 lit anaylsis papers, 10 pages of lit responses, and study for a math exam which I will most likely fail. Before 11am tomorrow, and Im running on 3 hrs of sleep. Yesssssss.
Between working full time, finishing up my Masters, and having a two year old rug-rat running around at home, stress is a part of my everyday life. Lots of people have mentioned good things in this thread that work, ie. going to work out/listening to music/smoking herb etc...
For me though, when I am really stressed smoking weed doesn't always help. It tends to make me feel more paranoid/stressful. That is, unless I drink some really stiff beer first. A couple strong beers (9%+ double IPAs<3), followed by a nice bowl/bong, and my stress goes away very fast.
Follow that up with another couple beers and some more weed, and pretty soon I can't even remember what I was stressed about in the first place.
Please note: This strategy does not work well if you have important shit to do like home work or study for exams.
A blowjob eases the mind well.
Catharsis via anger/aggression doesn't actually work for stress/tension relief, it makes it worse.
Catharsis as a method works, but it depends on what you're stressed about, and if you're angry, all you really accomplish via catharsis is to occupy the time that you would naturally defuse anyway. You don't make yourself less angry by yelling about it when it first comes up.
Going a round with a punching bag or such works because you're typically in a routine, pushing up your heart rate and getting your whole body into activity and it really forces you to loosen up and release all those areas that you instinctively draw in when you stress out. Just punching a pillow or yelling doesn't accomplish that, and generally reinforces the tense areas with further tension.
The important thing is to do something that makes you feel relaxed, as if you can get into your usual groove with that activity then your body will naturally 'decompress' on its own. Get your mind (and body, if necessary) away from whatever is bothering you and do something you can enjoy without much discernible effort on your part; for example, I can get lost in good books and music and find that very cathartic; if I need something more active, I'll go for a walk/run. Narcotics work for obvious reasons, but are hardly a necessary part of the equation. Most everything listed in the replies probably works for somebody, but isn't necessarily a sure bet.
