Nah, they acknowledge there's a shit ton of potential customers in the casual market. Most of the casuals don't give a rat's ass about the type of games you and I like.

As much as we're all lolling and shit over Ubi's conference, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they'll probably be the ones raking in the most cash with their 'game' list, if sales of "Just Dance" (average rating of 49 on Metacritic/GameRankings) are anything to go by.

Honestly, while I wasn't terribly impressed with the lineup they offered for Kinect (really MS? Kinectimals?), I think it's got a couple games worth of potential. YourShape (long as it has a good amount of workouts), the new Foroza Motorsport, and quite frankly... this...

So that's what Q? has been working on all this while. Loved all their titles on the DS/PSP, I just wish that trailer had some damn gameplay footage though.

Well, they don't have the full press conference from Ubisoft posted yet, but if you watch it they lead off with live game play footage from Child of Eden.

Also there's a decent blog entry regarding the game over on 1up.com (it's from you know who. However, being he left 1UP to join Q? to work specifically on this game, it's likely the closest we'll get to being on the inside.)

I was going to look to see if there was any rumors yet about Sony dropping the price of the PS3 to keep on par with the 360 but I'm not digging through the 40 pages that have been posted since I last checked lol. So that will be my hope is a price drop. I've been without my PS3 for quite a long time (over a year now) since it started giving nothing but disk read errors on everything. I didn't have the money or want to spend the $150+ to have it sent to Sony to fix it. I just got a new HDTV and I really want to get back into it all again, I've been wanting to play FFXIII so bad.

I don't see why Sony would drop the price when the new 360 is $299 and almost puts it on the same level specification-wise, if anything, the most we'll expect is a revision of the SKU with perhaps wireless N built-in rather than G, and a larger HD for the same price.
(not like many people here have net connections fast enough to make the full use of wireless-B's bandwidth. Most I'd see people using N for is faster wireless streaming off a media server)

They can do it just to piss off MS. If anything do it to try and boost sales, last I checked they're not exactly fairing well in this generation of the console wars.

Uh, PS3 is looking to outsell the 360 in a couple more years (well, will have to see with that new 360 model as that'll spur some impulse buyers), not sure how that doesn't count as not fairing well, especially when it's still sold out in a lot of locations.

Catching up in the next few years after it's been out for going on 4 years, getting close to the end of the life cycle before the next big thing comes out, still nowhere near Wii sadly.

I honestly haven't seen anywhere sold out around here (northern Virginia) in a couple of years now even around holiday time there's usually stacks sitting at the Game Stops, but that could just be a case by case basis.

I guess I was hopeful that the PS3 could meet the sales standards the PS2 set, but that's a pretty high bar in terms of sales.

Oh well I guess I'm just being hopeful to save $50 on a new system to ease the pain of the sweet talking I'm going to have to do with my wife to be able to buy it.

Solid gold PS3 with Platinum Controllers and a release date for PS4 with a shitty spin off of Halo to make fun of everyone who enjoys the franchise, calling it.

They've already squashed any kind of rumors of a PS4 anytime soon.


Also, this just in selling 40 million units in 4 years is not fairing well.

I really hope developers don't make the games retarded for Kinect/PSMove. There were very few games that integrated the motion controls and buttons well, and imo, LoZ:TP was probably the best mix by far for me. A lot of games pretty much only mused motion and others pretty much only used the buttons. I hope MGS:Rising turns into TP except the motion controls control the sword rather than predetermined swing patterns.
