I gotta say, I was really impressed by Nintendo's conference. Tons of game trailers of games that are coming out soon, the new DS unveiling (which isn't as big a deal to me, cause I hate 3D). And even just the companies/titles that are planned for 3DS was a great section to get people excited. The new Metroid (which we knew about), new Kirby, new DK, remake Goldeneye all got me excited -- and those are just the games coming out this year for Wii. It felt that this show was all about games and gamers, something I didn't feel watching Microsoft's, which is ironic considering Nintendo is the company everyone blames for lack of hardcore games.
And I definitely can't wait for the new Zelda. Although the demonstration seemed kinda iffy, I'm hoping the people who try it out on the show-floor come back and say good things. Nintendo always manage to blow away my doubts with their Zeldas, so I've learned to stop doubting them on it~
In terms of the 3DS, it was nice to hear confirmation that the 3D is not mandatory and requires no glasses. I'm hoping they change the finish though, cause that thing looks like a fingerprint magnet.. Also, I wonder though if this means that games for 3DS are no longer going to be compatible with the old DS models since there are new controls.. But, man.. new Kid Icarus sure is exciting.. I might have to get one just for that >.> <.<;
Let's see how Sony does~
