AWWWWWWWWYEAH
There is a god, taken way too long for this.
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=...%28Sony+PS3%29Video of New Square-Enix Game Leaks Before E3
1UP member gamerfan85 was walking around the LA Staples center where the NBA Finals are going on — right next to where E3 will be held a week from now — and took video of a new game being shown on the large screens outside. Anyway, the trailer shows the word “Nerkas” at the end of it, and Destructoid checked the internet registry and found that Square-Enix owns the rights to the domain www.nerkas.com (nothing’s there yet). Whether this is the name of the game or just a name of something in the game is unclear, but we’ll certainly hear more about this one from Square-Enix at E3.

That video is just a rumor. You should state so.
Im guessing that's why it's in the rumors thread?

It's taken ... HOW long?! omfg I cannot wait D:
lol
First off, FUCK YOU OP for making a thread that has nothing but a link and the word "discuss" I hate people like you.
Edit: Well now that this has been merged with the E3 thread that makes less sense.
Ok now that is out of the way and I can say holy shit this is exciting and awesome. I wonder if there will be a short video, a playable demo, what???
joystiq is reporting it as fake/denied by valve so I'm moving this to rumor thread where it should have been anyways
GoldenEye Remake is apparently going to be unveiled at E3.

More evidence to support the circulating rumors of a GoldenEye remake surfaced this past week. The most convincing comes from Eurogamer, which reports that a source has confirmed Activision is working on a revamped version of the classic Nintendo 64 shooter for the Wii and DS to be released this November. The game is supposedly being developed by n-Space and Eurocom, the latter of which created the N64 version of The World is Not Enough. The source also mentioned the publisher will showcase the title for the very first time at E3, so we won't have to wait long to learn if this unnamed tipster is on the money.
A slightly more suspect piece of evidence comes to us via GoNintendo, which posted a series of images from an anonymous source, purportedly stripped from a survey referencing a GoldenEye Wii-make. This survey mentions "a modernized version of the classic story with the new Bond (Daniel Craig)," which, if true, would be a minor travesty. Don't get us wrong, we love Craig -- but you really can't out-Brosnan Brosnan, you know?
Cripes, what is it with companies and trying to make things 'fit in', for lack of a better term.
The game is called Goldeneye, which Brosnan stared in, and next theyll be changing the stages, the guns, gameplay, etc. Granted some are superficial, and I suppose Bond is himself, but still, if youre going to call it Goldeneye, a remake of the 64 game, dont change anything.
Then comes the whole thing of 'if it's a remake they shouldnt change a damn thing, just port it, and update the graphics, and even leave the ai the same' or 'fix up everything to current standards, even if it drastically changes things'. As long as it's still fun, and they dont completly bastardize it, shrug, ill buy.
Awesome news but then i saw activision and wii. Doesnt Rare owns goldeneye? if so maybe thats why they are doing a remake with daniel craig and all that shit.
Shit will blow anyway because it is on the Wii. A crying shame...
One thing is sure, Bethesda should have one of the best booths, RAGE, New Vegas, Hunted and Brink.
I'd play Goldeneye on the Wii. That's one of the few games I'd play on the Wii.
You'd think they'd wanna remake it on a system that is capable of improving the graphics.
