i will admit that one jump is the most difficult jump in the history of jumps
AND YOU BEAT CONTRA BECAUSE OF 99 MANS
Konami code is only 30 mans, and when I was a kid, I beat contra with 3 mans (plus the few extra mans you get via points).
When I was 19 or 20 I beat it without dying so that for the rest of my life I could say I did.
By the way, did you hear I beat Contra without dying?
I have beaten it without konami code, but I am not hardcore enough to try to play without dying.
I will nominate the original Ghosts and Goblins because I never beat it, because you have to beat it twice to beat it, and the one time i finally beat it on the first run through the game was like NOW DO IT AGAIN BUT WITH FEELING i was like NAH FUCK THIS AND FUCK YOU
I never did really play much of the original contra but I have beaten the alien wars without dying
Double Dragon 3 was pretty fucking rough. I never bothered to go back through and finish it
F-Zero GX
PERFECT RACING
FINAL LAP
AWESOME MUSIC KICKS IN
FINISH LINE IN YOUR SIGHTS
BOOST TO KEEP AHEAD OF SOME RACER RIDING YOUR ASS
SHIELDS GONE
THEY BOOST INTO YOU AND BLOW YOU UP
TUMBLE INTO FINISH LIKE 4TH
EVERY DAMN TIME!
Also Uniracers.
Uniracers was the epitome of hold right to win.
And it was BADASS.
I remember the first Mega Man game being pretty hard as well.
space channel 5 on dreamcast -- that last "chu" was fucking impossible to hit, I swear they fucked up the timing on it just to piss everyone off.
bokosuka wars
i have never heard of bokosuka wars
neither have I
I'm just sayin'. If it ain't X you ain't winnin'.
I distinctly remember Kid Chameleon being harder, and I didn't think that was that hard.
It's hard but I wouldn't say hardest of all time. I've beaten it like 2 or 3 times.
F-Zero....so true.
Anyways, might not be the hardest game ever but this game:

... made a man out of me at age 6. I attribute all my gaming skills to mastering and beating this game at such a young age. By today's standards it isn't much but it'll at least give you a run for your money.
Also, surprised no one said "I Wanna Be the Guy" at all.
