Firefox wont save passwords

Anyone have any Idea how to get firefox to save passwords? MY laptop saves them fine, although my gfs and my desktop refuses to save them. Also yes i have "Remember passwords for sites" checked, with 0 acceptations listed.

maybe under tools > options > privacy: you have it set to clear saved pw's and stuff each time the app closes?

Thats what i was trying, it still erases it every time ; ;

Do you have an anti-virus on that computer that's not on the others?

Did you re-install? If you did, did you manually check old profiles files?

You can see if your passwords will save on a new profile. You can do so by right clicking on Firefox>Properties, and changing the target to

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -ProfileManager

Exactly as above. You can create a new profile, try to sign into a site and then restart firefox to see if your password has saved (you might need to enable password saving again in your settings.)

If doing so fixes it, then back up your bookmarks and whatever else you may want and delete your old profile. You can then import your bookmarks into the new, working profile.
