Got mine this morning, was 2k in line. I got lucky, since I was on the road and there was traffic, I hit up the nearest starbucks, used a latptop, and prayed
I clicked literally less than 2 seconds after page came up and didn't get them. gg.
Man, when I went to Blizzcon like 2 years ago I don't remember having to camp the button, my friends casually mentioned it and I thought it over and then bought tickets a few weeks later. Jesus, I'd hate to go now, it's probably just all the neckbeards who can click the button fastest :/ and the demographic was already really bad at the one I went to, literally no people who weren't greasy and/or fat.
I don't understand why Blizzard doesn't sell the tickets like PAX does.
They're so anal about their security and fairplay with their games, and then let it go to a first come first serve free for all for their convention. The mind boggles.
Seriously must have been something wrong about 2 years ago then. No joke. Last year we went there were tons of good-looking chicks we were sad we didn't try to bring some of our single guys so they could stare at them for forever.
Way less greasy people than fanfest for sure.
I'd bet a lot of money that >50% of the attendees at Blizzcon did not buy their tickets at the blizzard store.
It's become a sporting event now. Everyone in front of you in line buys 5 tickets, and flips most/all of them for a 200% return on investment. Splitting the sale into two days has now given the same scalpers a shot at selling 10 Blizzcon Tickets, minimum.
Last year was my first Blizzcon, and I had an amazing time. I have good friend in Blizzard, and I never had to wait in any lines, nor did I have a time limit on whatever gaming station i was on. Haha, looking forward to it again!
Blizzcon was interesting because there was a mix of normal people, huge fatass WoW fanboys, and kids with their parents (who bought tickets on eBay no doubt).
Attractive females? I don't remember many except those working the booths.
The stench wasn't bad, but there are some smelly mofos. I let people go ahead of me in line if I was behind a smelly person; that gave some buffer.
Ha, last year was my wife's first time going to any sort of convention like that, I had forgotten to warn her about the "stench" from certain people. She could not beleive people actually walked around smelling like that, and more than just a scant few.
If I remember I will dig out some photos she took of the event, she liked a lot of the cosplay stuff and some of those ladies were attractive. Not saying Blizzcon is a tidle wave of hotties, but all kinds of people were there.
Yeah idk....
There's nothing that makes me rage more than neckbeards with BO, but there wasn't that many last year.
I have to admit, there are way more wierdoes and annoying people in other cons than this one imo.
Blizzcon is fairly normal compared even to Comiccon, as far as weird and/or nasty people go.
Actually it was 3 years ago it was easy. 2 years ago = server meltdown. I remember this cause I actually got chosen in the second chance lottery to buy two tickets. Last year was the first of the Queue, got through twice for 5 tickets. This year I got in quick on the first day, then trying to help two other people get tickets, my computer i wound up like 5k in the queue, but my fiancee's notebook was like 1800. Probably coincidence, but it's like they marked my computer for getting through already and intentionally handicapped me -_-
Anyone still looking for a ticket? Have one extra, posted it up here: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3866578
wish I could have gone last year - won a ticket from Asus after entering a few contests for it.. the other ones included transportation and I live on the opposite coast lol, so had to sell it![]()
