Possible to use the PS3 processor as extra processor for computer?

At the moment I'm running a lot of quantum mechanical calculations on my old Pentium II PC. I was wondering if it's possible to hook the PS3s processor up with my computer and run calculations using the PS3s processor?

Also, does anyone know how to queue processes on linux (ubuntu) terminal? Like start one calculation and when that one's done you start the next...?

Any insight is appreciative. I've been trying to google this but haven't been able to find it.

I don't know for sure but I believe that Sony taking away the ability to put another OS on the PS3 kills this idea.

I'm sure there's some way to use the Cell that way...but as mentioned, you'd probably need to set up Linux on the PS3, which is a no-go now.

Do you have a newer computer? Because using your GPU as a coprocessor would likely accomplish some of the same things.

    That's a shame.

Thanks for the input guys, would anyone know anything about queueing processes?
What I'm doing is running calculations via a program, Gaussian. It can only run one process at a time, but what I'd like to do is to queue it, so when one calculation is finished, the next one starts.

I have no programming background so I'm not really sure if it's possible... :X

a shell script bash can probably do that with "while" "then" and shits, but I'll pass on giving an example because I never use it
