The last two pages have been really good. I do find it funny that some people will find any reason to hate Americans. OMFG someone on a forum posted something i don't like, it must be an american. RAGE!

Been a couple of others but I recognise that you probably are too dense to remember that. Even if I were the only woman "coddling preggos" your statement wasn't any more intelligent or insightful.

What is that old amusing phrase? Ah yes, it's "I can lose weight, but you'll still be a dumbass". Of course, I do recognise that someone of your mean intelligence feels that for a woman to be of normal weight she must be size 2 or less and that my massive size 6 is nearly morbidly obese. Such is life, I shall have to ever remain a fatty.

What's that? Your point is being obfuscated by dancing deep-fried drumsticks basting themselves in chocolate syrup. And clearly you can't lose weight since last time I brought up the fact that your density may be causing imminent danger to the world and all of us in it when you inevitably go supernova was 6+ months ago. Add the universal constant of women: whatever size they say they are add 2 to it, and the internet vagina constant: whatever size a woman claims to be on the internet after applying the universal constant add 4, I surmise that your "size 6" is probably still somewhere around a 12.

So, no, you can't lose weight, and you're still dumbtarded to boot.

I tend to sit in front of buses where handicap people tend to get priority because I carry a lot of crap to school. One of those bags with wheels you pull (suddenly forgot the name of it), a backpack, and a small shoulder bag. Some days I can get away without the backpack but usually no.

Even with this in mind, I am really self concious if someone has more stuff than me, is handicapped, or pregnant then I would move. Heck, at times I may even move if theres a group of people coming from like a trip and want to sit next to each other I'll let them take my seat if it means that one person isn't seperated from their group, but this is usually on the subway than the bus.

I am sure most people feel the same way but feel bothered by anyone saying it is their RIGHT to have the seat (pregnant woman in this case). However, I can sympathize with them even though it bothers me they talk that way.

I would stand up for anyone what was pregnant/old/disabled or was parent with small a parent with small children. It just seems like the common sense polite thing to do... just like holding doors open for people that are right behind you. As for other people not doing it, eh who cares. Its their choice if they want to stand up or not. The only thing that I don't think is right is when there is reserved seating specifically for people who are pregnant/elderly or disabled. If you're not in any of those categories, and someone that is waiting for a seat is, then you should probably let them sit...

Ok, here's a little experiment, take the lady quoted in the OP, and replace getting a seat on the bus with something else, like a spot in a checkout line, the last of something at a store, a a movie at a rental place, or something else like that, when does it become too much?

Seriously not trying to flame or anything, just curious as to what people think is ok for pregnant women to get.

Going to have to quote this for emphasis. I can afford a car, but I live in NYC and I absolutely hate driving so I have no need for one right now.

More OT to the OP: I see people in NYC stand for old/disabled all the time and it's really nice to see. I don't think she should feel entitled to a seat, but I'd get up if I noticed her.

But I tend to look down/at my phone/read a book the duration of the ride and rarely look at people. Not trying to be an ass, I just am generally oblivious to others unless spoken to.

EDIT: When I did have a car I'd park in those parking lots specific to preggers(I've never been pregnant). Fuck that shit, lol.

Oh we've now got idiot entitled bitches around here who buy "bump on board" badges to try to make sure they can get the rest of the world to lay out the red carpet when they're like four fucking weeks pregnant as well. I'm gonna wait till next time I have sex and get a "sperm on board, please give me a seat" button one day.

They can go to hell - their choice and instead of whining they should count their blessings because there are thousands of women out there who'd love to have the chance to be in their shoes.

You're a beast. Thank you for being one of the loudest voices of vaginal common sense in this thread.

Baby on board stickers have always pissed me off. What, I'm going 130mph weaving in and out of lanes like a wildman but once I see your sticker I'm gonna stick it to 65mph in the right lane? Get the fuck out auuuugh it makes me so fucking mad.

To me, there is a stark difference between something you elect to do (such as grocery shopping, where you should expect to wait in line, or movies, where the same is applicable) and something you must do (such as taking public transport, making a call on a payphone, whatever) given the situation.

Sitting is a matter of comfort and for her health I wouldn't really care about giving my seat. Under no circumstance would they be "entitled" to anything, whether it's the last of something in a store, a movie rental's last copy, or anything else.

Entitlement is not a right, it's a privelege that others bestow.

Fucking hell, there's definitely one immature little boy ragging on the gal who posted the OP here.

She is right to say there's been more than one female supporter.
If it wasn't obvious, I'm female.

And really, what's all this jabbing at her weight? Is that the best you could come up with? My word, I wonder how 'perfect' you must be to be so justified in your little bitching fest.

Ach. I wasn't insinuating that he was ugly in any way - since I've never seen him I couldn't possibly make a judgement. But to rag on to someone about perceived 'fatness' as a poor attempt at flaming... I mean please. It's not highschool anymore.

Haha, don't worry about it. The interwebz and all. Old argument. More amusing than anything, at least until I have to stop responding to the spew of stupidity due to brain implosion.
